Medium orangish, brown color. Very hazy, almost a cider like appearance. Thick, 1/2" cream colored head, tries to cling to glass with decent lacing. Very grassy, piney hop aroma. Hoppy resin character to aroma, and almost a tannic oaky character. Flavor definitelycught me off-guard a little Get more of the pine and grassiness in the flavor, but also picking up a lot of oaky characters to flavor a lot with some pete notes as well, guessing this would most likely be attributed to the European hops. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate carbonation. Sweetness and hoppy flavor is big on the start showing more of the tannic. oak flavor in the middle and end, lending itself to more of the pete flavor on the finish with some hop dryness as well. Another good one from mikkeller, a very noticable difference in this hop type from the others. Warmth allows for some very nice ringed lacing. Nice and interesting amount of flavor coming from just one hop, way cool.

Served this brown bottle in a Sam Adams glass. The cap was dated: 22/12/11. The body was hazy and deep apricot in color. The parchment paper head created a cap that stayed throughout.

The smell was fruity and bready.

The taste was bread with faded hops. Mildy spicy. Juicy citrus flavor but a drying finish.

The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied. Easy to drink, but a bit bland.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know... It's old. But it's been in my fridge for over 2 years (first batch).

A: Pours a deep honey amber with about a half finger of pure white head. It's a bit cloudy, but still looks solid. Not much lacing as it drinks.

S: The nose is really mild. It bit of sweet malt, some actual honey, and a touch of lemon. It's nice, but everything is really muted.

T: There are some big bitters right up front, followed by some mellowing sweet malt, and the finish is pure citrus. It's way more bitter than I expected.

M: Medium bodied beer. The carbonation is still on point. It starts out bitter, mellows, and then finishes bitter. I get a bit of stinging characteristics that linger for a bit.

O: It's a solid brew, but it's not my favorite. It's gets a little less bitter as it warms. I'm kind of glad they cut this hops from the second round of the single hop series.

12 oz bottle was poured into a tulip.

Appearance: The beer poured a one finger head that has reduced and left nice and clumpy lacing on the glass. A nice orange amber color with good clarity and signs of carbonation coming up through the glass.

Smell: light citrus/grapefruit aroma, bready and carmel malts in the background too. Not much else going on.

Taste: Citrus flavor is more prevalent and the caramel and bready malts balance out things quite nicely. The citrus is very nice too.

Mouthfeel: smooth, medium bodied, medium carbonation, easy to drink, and very enjoyable.

Overall: The first of many single hops series from this brewery that I am trying. Very educational for drinkers to know what a particular hops will do to flavors and aromas of a beer. Will be having more of these in the future. Too bad I never see it anywhere on draft.

11.2 oz. bottle poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint Glass. Hazy golden orange in color. Like I said, hazy, so you're not seeing much through it. The head is pretty frothy. A hard pour takes a couple of times due to the head erupting.

Smell is good, pretty standard for this brewery. Fruity and citrus hop. Clean and floral all good. Hints of toasteyness on some caramelized malts. Decent balance, I think it's gonna taste good.

Mikkeller hit another one on par. This one's really good. It's hoppy with minimal bitterness. Clean citrus and herbal hops present in the flavor. Decent balance here, but sways in favor of the hops.

Great mouthfeel and drinkability herre. If you wanna review this one you actually really gotta pace yourself. Light bodied with a clean feel, personally it surprised me with how hazy it is. Smooth with a soft clean bitter finish. A really good beer from Mikkeller, no surprise here, they know what they're doing.
