Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour with malt, grain, funk, acidic, white wine, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with funk, white wine, and wood flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a nice balance of sourness and wine barrel aging all around.

This beer smelly like fruit and wine and faintly of wood. It was frothy and bubbly and practically glowing. The taste was phenomenal -- smooth, gentle carbonation, with a silky and sweet wine-flavored accent. I loved how the wine flavor complemented the bubbly and light beer. It tasted both warm/welcoming and cool/refreshing at the same time. Would definitely drink again (if I can ever find it again).

Dark caramel color. Flakes of yeast settled to the bottom. Big, billowing head with great retention and plenty of soapy lacing.
Smells very close to Goose Island Matilda. Some yeast character with a highly acidic citric quality.
Acidic citrus comes through in the flavor as well. Underlying caramel malt quality with a hint of dark fruit and burnt sugar. Mild yeast.
Medium body. Dry finish. Decent carbonation. Yeasty texture.
Not a bad sour. Good complexity and decent balance.
