Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma is a mix of orange citrus and caramel notes. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of orange citrus, but the toffee from the malt is also equally present. The bitterness is low. This actually smells more like an American Pale Ale than an IPA. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

On-tap at the Brick Store.
Pours a clear copper color with an off-white head leaving decent lacing.
Smells of muted pale malts and not much else, though it’s unsurprising given the hop strain.
Tastes a bit sturdier than it smells. Moderately dry pale malts up front are joined by earthy and somewhat leafy hops midway through. The hops carry on to a solidly bitter ending. Mouthfeel is good, with solid carbonation.
Overall it’s tough to accurately rate this beer as there is no aroma but no aroma is expected given the hops. An interesting take but a beer only worth seeking for education’s sake.

Cap numbered 8191103! Served from bottle into Stone nonic. Poured yellow-orange with a two finger off-white head that subsided to half a finger slowly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, citrus, caramel, caramel hop, and citrus hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, caramel, subtle citrus, lemon rine, caramel hop, and earthy hop. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a decent brew. This one had a pretty big citrus aspect going on along with some earthy flavors. The aroma was not a citrusy as the flavor as it carried more of a sweet note on it. This one wasn't really memoriable for me if I'm honest. Worth it for the palate expansion, but that is about it.

I had this at ChurchKey where they had 10+ Mikkeller single hop IPAs. It was interesting to taste the characteristics of this hop without interference from other hop types. This hop had nice floral aroma with a light citric acid flavour.
A: Orange color and 3 mm head that fades to good lacing. 4
S: This beer had a fresh floral hop smell. Pleasant. 4
T: This beer had an acidic, citrus flavour. 3.5
M: Pretty thick and reasonably carbonated. 4
O: Nice smell and a decent flavour. 3.5

A: The beer is very hazy dark amber in color and has a light amount of carbonation along with some small particles visible floating in suspension. It poured with a finger and a half high beige head that has excellent retention properties and hardly died down and left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: The hops contribute very light aromas of citrus, grapes and grass to the smell.
T: The taste is similar to the smell but the flavors are a bit stronger and also include some notes of wood and hints of caramel malts. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, clean and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I wouldn't say that Galena hops offer the best choice for a single hop beer, but this is definitely an interesting beer to try among the others in the series, especially if you want to experience some interesting flavors of grapes and wood.

11.2 fl oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. My seventh beer from the Mikkeller Single Hop series. Scored a whole lot of these beers from Benz Beverage Depot in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for something ridiculous like $1.75 a piece. Expectations are fairly high based upon my previous experience with these beers.
Poured into a clear balloon snifter glass.
A - Pours about two fingers of creamy fluffy beige colored head on top of a dark burnt sienna orange, borderline mahogany colored body. Lots of dark yeast sediment floating at the bottom of the glass. A bit darker than some of the others.
S - Smell resembles many of the others, if just a little bit more subdued. Earthy herbal qualities, dirty twiggy hops, caramelized malt sweetness, oak, & vanilla.
T - Taste follows the nose: earthy twiggy hop presence, herbal qualities, vanilla, oak wood, and some extremely strong, sweet, and authentic caramel / toffee flavors. Perhaps some dark fig / date presence and some nuttiness on the finish.
M - Feel is creamy and smooth, and bitter and dry in the finish, with some lingering herbal earthiness & green apple skin sweetness.
Overall, while it wasn't the best I've had, definitely one of the more unique beers in the Mikkeller Single Hop series. A very distinctive, off-kilter variety of hop is showcased here, and very nicely at that. A hop variety I would like to see used more often.
Mikkeller Galena ---4/5.

Poured from a bottle into a Duvel tulip
A- pours a dark, murky, pond water looking shade of orangeish brown with a one finger, very frothy offwhite head. Very nice head, but the beer itself looks disgusting, so I'm splitting the difference
S- it's an interesting aroma, partly of citrus and partly of grass....I like it, but I can't get as much of it as I want due to the size of my glass. That one is on me, so I won't penalize the beer
T- nice citrus flavor to it, with a little bit of bitterness to it. I like it, it's different.
M- medium bodied. It's fine
O- this is better than most of the other single hop I've had from Mikkeller. It's actually got some complexity going on. Well done.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a copper color and a slightly hazy consistency. There was an inch of fairly long-lasting head. Very good lacing.
S: A lot of hops in the aroma, with some traces of bread and malt.
T: The hops are center stage in the flavor, and it is definitely a harsh presence. There's a graininess that's inescapable. Also, there's an odd bready quality as well. An unbalanced flavor.
M: A good amount of carbonation with a generally dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Like the flavor, this beer is unbalanced. Not without its good qualities, but slightly out of whack.
