It's lambic time!!!

Beautifully fluorescent ruby colour with a billowing, lightly peach coloured head. Great head retention.

Wonderfully fresh and fruity aroma. Plenty of lemony tartness with a great berry note.

Tart, tart, tart. The cranberry flavour is distinctive and works well with the tartness. Funkiness that is complex and well integrated.

Light body with high carbonation. What you'd expect.

Lovely, fruity and tart. A wonderful fruit lambic and just what the doctor ordered.

i am really glad they remade this one. i was worried i wouldnt be able to find an old bottle, but thanksfully its come back around. pretty impressive use of cranberry, maybe my favorite manifestation of it in any beer i have ever had. the acidity and pithy texture of the fruit lend themselves really well to the lambic base. where cranberry tartness stops and where lactic sourness begins is not knowable, and i think more than any other beer in the series, save possibly the noble, this fruit is a perfectly natural fit for the base wild ale. barley ruby stained in color, you can tell its fruited, but its not electric or anything. smells like the bog though, earthy and puckery at the same time, almost no sweetness at all. in the taste, the wheat malt seems amplified compared to the others, more body and more flavor from it, less sugar covering it up. the seedy and pithy feel of the raw cranberry comes though too, seemingly latching on to that wheat body. the overall here is excellent, maybe less distinctly fruity than the others, but for those who dig raw cranberries, their impact on this beer will be much appreciated. has a holiday feel for me as well. really well done, this whole series has been magic!

This one is just not for me. Perfect for those who really like their sour beers sour, but I like a combo of sour and sweet. with this one I hardly tasted any cranberry at all

Pours a beautiful light ruby red with a gentle orange hue and a half finger of active off-white foam.

Subtle fruit aroma, not necessarily cranberries, slight musty funk, and a sharp acidic aroma.

Must, cranberry, tart acidity, and slight vinegar bite.

Light-bodied, high carbonation, crisp, tart, has some bite.

Overall, while the fruit character feel short, this is a subtle, but refreshing brew.

Pretty good sour, but not much cranberry came through for me. Lots of sour upfront with a kind of funky farmhouse type of finish. Good, but not great.

375mL glass - best before 15 October 2024. Poured into a Teku glass.

A: Pink/amber/orange/red, cannot really describe it any better than that. Fluffy one finger head dissipates quickly, leaving a feint trace around the glass.
S: Extremely acidic, tart character. Definitely some cranberries coming through, as well as classic Brett notes.
T: Extremely sour at the front! Would be harsh to call it a vinegar bomb, but it comes close. Once that calms down the cranberry comes through at the finish. Extremely dry.
M: Medium carbonation, medium body. Dry finish does not leave a coating on the palate, however the sourness hangs around....almost for too long.
O: Likely the sourest brew I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. A real tour de force on the sour front - I could almost imagine matching this with a garden salad, sans dressing. The cranberry imparts subtle notes across the board. I'm keen to try a few more to see if the sourness is coming just from the cranberry or whether it's true of all variants.
