Bottle. Burn orange/cooper, little hazy with medium to big, white, densed head. Poor lasting. Average lacing. Mostly tropical fruits aroma (amarillo, citra) and some citrus (orange, mandarin) also floral and resin notes, also noticable hints of honey. Taste is light to medium bitter with mostly tropical fruits and floral flavours, next you cen feel some resin and woody notes. Along with hops there is pretty balanced malty profile with mainly caramel accents. Medium body, smooth/oily texture, medium carbonation, finish is light bitter. In general very solid and balanced IPA, quite drinkable.

First had 19 poured from 11.2-oz. bottle, cap stamped best before "14/09/17," gift from colleague, into nonic pint.

Ambiguously labeled as an American-style IPA, what Mikkeller means is an old-fashioned East Coast American IPA. I would call this a mid-Atlantic IPA, but gladly if it takes Danes brewing in Belgium to keep this style alive.

Gold to amber and very hazy. There's a fingernail of bright white resting on top. Moderate lacing. I smell lots of citrus hops. I'm tasting lots of citrus and resinous pine. The mouth is chewy and sticky.

Drinked during the 2015 Xmas Night, bottle. Dark amber color, clear, with plenty of light beige foam pain, persistent... tropical fruit aromas, hops, sweet malts... the palate is less aggressive than expected, fruit at the beginning and then drink the bitter enters by force in a soft context after all, clean, dry, with a good balance between tropical fruit and the 19 hops... medium body, astringent and prolonged final

Can with best before date on bottom showing 12/01/17; pours cloudy dark orange brown color with a massive 2-3 finger thick foamy beige colored head that was was full of bubbles and faded very slowly, leaving excellent spotty lacing and rings as it went down. Head was so thick I ran my finger through it before it faded. A great looking beer from a can.

Smells fruity with a lot going on in a way that screams of the massive amount of hops used in this brew. An IPA brewed with 19 different hops by design would either be super hoppy and dank smelling or confusing with a lot of different aroma's, and to me this is the latter. Don't get me wrong, it smells very fruity and hoppy with a lot of citrus notes but it also has a lot of spicy notes which almost come off like potpourri.

Taste is all over the place and similar to the nose. It's bursting with citrus hops one sip, grainy and malty with toffee and caramel another sip, and then at other times seemed full of yeast and spices like cinnamon, pepper, allspice and brown sugar. It's almost like all the hops were fighting for attention or negated each other. Complex for sure, but confusing and not the most balanced IPA.

Mouthfeel is creamy with a medium to chewy feel that was quite bitter with mild carbonation, a bunch of fruity notes, a fair amount of malt and bready flavors, and of course lots of citrus to reflect all of those hops used in the brew. I appreciate the effort and experimentation, but this needs to be refined.

L: Poured from a can to a pint glass. Had a dark amber color with a cloudy, somewhat murky texture. There was an inch of creamy long-lasting head. Very good lacing.

S: A nice aroma of hops, citrus, light malt, and caramel.

T: Tasted of light caramel notes, some malt, a good shot of hops, lots of citrus (lemon, especially in the finish), grapefruit, and some a little bit of pine. A nicely balanced flavor, with the hops countered with a lot of citrus. Not too sweet, and and not too bitter. Very tasty.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a lively finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This is a well made, drinkable IPA, with lots of character. Quite easy to drink.

A thanks to the captain of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a burnt orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is dank, citrus. Taste is dank, oranges, resin, light malts and peaches, considerable bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a quality beer.
