A 330ml bottle with a BB of Feb 2014. Picked up recently from my local beer specialist (they've been getting quite a bit of Mikkeller recently). From what I can make out on the label, it's an IPA brewed with wheat and fermented with brettanomyces. Should be interesting!

Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle-conditioned. A pale golden hue with faint haze and low carbonation. Produces a large head of brilliant white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding to a surface layer. Aroma of bright citrus hops with undertones of earthy wheat and a vinous hint of yeast in the background.

Tastes of aromatic citrus hops with a mildly acidic character and a dry finish. Notes of citrus, grainy wheat and earthy, vinous yeast. Subtle bitterness upon swallowing, and a hint of lactic/vinegary sourness in the background. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry. A slight acidity on the tongue, and mild astringency. A tad undercarbonated. Aftertaste of sour wheat malt with citrus overtones.

Impressive - a subtle IPA with fantastic balance. Despite the novel ingredients and yeast, the finished article is tasty and very drinkable. The brett adds a distinctive note to the background, but doesn't overpower or clash with the other flavours. The aroma/taste has a dry, lactic - almost lemony sourness that complements the citrus hops perfectly. If it weren't for the price tag I'd grab another one (or two). Excellent - well worth trying if you encounter it.

Pours a pale gold, cloudy. Large bubbles; head is white, thin, sticky lace. Small bead. Looks a bit flat but nice.

Smells funky but pleasant. Fresh, slight tang. Citrus, pineapple, green apple. Very enticing.

Taste is funky, pleasant upfront. Decent barnyard notes, then finish is wheaty and slightly phenolic, but presaged by nice hoppy character. Fresh citric bitterness. Nice blend of funk with fresh fruity notes. Excellent palate.

Smooth enough, bit of bite on the back. Enjoyable.

Great blend of really disparate brewing styles synthesised into a pleasant, interesting drop.

A - Light haze on a light gold and wheat body. Rustic, foamy white head has nice retention and great lace.

S - Surprisingly deep. Earthy barn yard funk, sage, black pepper, lemon zest, hay, and fresh wheat.

T - Smooth bready wheat opening, funky hay center, dried grass and lemon zest finish. The bitterness is slightly waxy on the backend.

M - Medium body with par carbonation.

O - Interesting concept. The funk, waxy bitter, and lemon highlights are refreshing, but not necessarily sessionable.

Pours a clear light amber with one finger thick soapy white head, settles to a thin ring with a few blobs of lace on the glass. Smell: sweet-smelling flowers in bloom, grapefruit peel, whole melon, drying cut grass. Taste: dilute nectarine, lots of citric acidity without much definition, green banana, especially in the finish. Really nice fluffy feel, but then finishes a lot like green banana...chalky, sticky. Interesting and refreshing, but not among my favorite brett'd hoppy beers.

Served from a 11.2oz bottle into a LA Teku glass.

Appearance- Beautiful gold with one finger of soft white head that left nice lacing.

Smell- Tons of funky lemon, light vinager, green grapes, green apple, light citric hops.

Taste- Bitter lemon and hops, loads of bretty funk, light wheaty malt. Bitter finish. Dry.

Mouthfeel- Crisp, bitter, refreshing, dry.

Overall- I like this version better than the Hill Farmstead 500ml bottle version. This one has fuller hops, more citrus, and more brett funk.
