The colour is deep amber (16 EBC), the liquid is clear. The compact three finger head is beige. Good head retention, some lacing.

The smell is hoppy and a bit bitter. Tree sap, green plants, some cat litter box, grapefruit and cream candy. Lots of sour fruits and apple acid, but also a clean sweetness.

The taste is light and refreshing in a good APA way. Not much malt, just a semi-sweet base for the hops. Green fruits, some unripe notes. Lime and grapefruit. Light to medium body.
Growing clean alcohol in the aftertaste, as well as somewhat harsh hoppy flavours and a touch of apple acid.

The carbonation is strong, the small bubbles sharp and short-lived. The liquid is dry.

I think this is a bit too fresh for me right now. Is is a refreshing beer, yes, but the flavours doesn’t hold together very well.

A: Massive warm pale yellow head, very compact, fills the glass. After a while the dissipation starts and leaves place for the beer; hazy orange. Rich lacings.

S: Pineapple galore; citric and piney from the floral hops. There is also grapefruits and oranges, plus peaches. Rich bitter hops over the caramell malt.

T: Well, the taste can't compete with the smell; everything is milder, perhaps even a bit boring, and rather raw and unbalanced.

M: Long bitter aftertasete. Body is raw and medium full. Carbonaiton is strong and quite offensive.

O: It started of pretty darn nice but the taste was raw and unbalanced - that ruined the experience.

Poured into a tulip. A nice caramel honey colour, with a solid three fingers of creamy tan orange head, really solid retention. 4

S- sweet grapefruit citrus, a very cool outdoor character, pine forest, seabreeze, honey suckle, almond. This in one of my favorite noses I’ve found on a Pale Ale, very cool. 4.75.

T- zesty and lightly spicey, apricot, lychee, citrusy with lemon and brapfruit, slight earthy spiciness. A definite big influence from the American hops. Something like smokiness wafts in, a bit herbally with the very hop forward character. Malts are there at the beginning, caramel sweetness, but then fade out. Finishes quite dry, dried lemon zest, nuttiness. Shows some cool character complexity. 4

M – soft carbonation, a full moderate mouthfeel. A bit of slick hops on the finish, drying out gradually. A moderate body, slight coating hops, with a bit of sweetness, all together quite well balanced. 3.75

A very interesting APA, a nice dose of hops. I can’t get enough of the smell (reminiscent of Georgian Bay actually), the flavor doesn’t quite match up in complexity, still a very enjoyable all round beer. 4

A: Mikkeller K:rlek pours a opaque and burnt orange, a beige and thick crown upon its head, foamy and leaving a heritage of lacing aplenty.

S: Foremost hops come forth in the manner of apricot, pineapple and pine/sap and Then a backdrop/backbone of whey reveals itself as a long-standing companion
to the aforementioned hopsicles.

T: Upfront tart, sappy and ashen bitterness. Like the burnt down ruins of an old log cabin (what about that analogy eh?!) and a malty middle a lingering acridity that's sap-like.

M: Thick and creamy whilst still being coarse, noticeable carbonation. Blending in really well into the mixture.

O: Amazing for the sunnier of seasons, however it might be a little bit too "intense" for some. Nonetheless, still great!
