Opened with a resounding POP! Cork hit the 11 foot high ceiling, luckily I lost no beer! Pours an effervescent honey color with 4+ fingers of eggshell colored head. Crazy lacing & great head retention

S: Much sourness, wet hay, pepper & funk

T: Pears, honeycrisp apples, grassiness, tartness & sourness up front. Slight acidic notes as this warms, Fuji apples, & sourness with a little pink grapefruit. Finishes tart, grassy, & sour with some pears & a little bit of plum

MF: Super lively carbonation, dryness, light body, especially for the ABV, reminds me of sparkling cider or Champagne. I love the way the sweet balances the tart & sourness

Wow! This is easy to drink. Not the best sour I've ever had, but right up there with them. Pricey, but worth it IMO. I usually don't say that about most Mikkeller beers. Approach with caution though seems to be very much alive

750mL into a tulip. Pours a clear copper color w/ a big fluffy white head that settles to a patchy layer of sea foam.

Aroma is tart and floral. Jasmine, hibiscus, and other tea-like notes blend with a sour lactic acidity.

Taste is likewise a mix of herbal/floral and a subtle sourness. Seems somehow a little watered down, muted. Pronounced hoppy bitterness contrasts, and almost clashes, with the sour.

Mouthfeel is sharply prickly from the high carbonation. In most cases high carbonation levels don't bother me but here, I find it detracts from the beer, masks the taste.

Overall a less than stellar wild ale. Not bad, just not all that great either.

Poured from a very active bottle a hazy apricot color with a billowing three fingers of off-white head. Fairly good amount of sticky lacing left behind.

Very earthy and yeasty aroma upfront with hints of lemon, wine grapes and cracker.

The taste was white wine, lemon and yeasty notes along with fresh earth and caramel malts. Finished with notes of cracker and a bitter hop bite.

Medium bodied and dry with a fairly sharp carbonation.

An interesting and enjoyable American Wild Ale from the collaboration of Mikkeller and Anchorage Brewing.

Pours a peach color with a white, well retaining froth and lace. Aroma is herbal and musty. In the taste, tip of the tongue tartness and more herb, floral and tea notes. Brett seems to be afoot here with the musty, damp basement element. Belgian, earthy, spicy, grassy, and mildly tart. Black pepper and coriander like flavor. Dry and clean. Overall, this is an interesting brew, very good.
