A: Pours a very thick, syrupy, viscous, opaque black liquid. A small creamy mocha with deep mahogany glints is to be spoken of. This looks heavy!
S: Nose of chocolate cake, brownie, thick milk chocolate, very sweet, with some strawberry candy sweetness, ripe cherry, black forest cake, the whole thing being wrapped in a pregnant vanilla sweetness. This smells like calorie. But a pure one!
T: The taste is also mainly focused on chocolate flavors, heavy on the palate, overpowering, very sweet with notes of soaked fruits and dark fruits (prune mainly), over a malty, biscuity backbone. Of course the vanilla wrapping up the palate can be found again, oddly, the coffee favors are quite faint. The finish however is quite dry and bitter on bittersweet chocolate (and a little bit of coffee there), which helps cutting the overall sweetness.
M: The palate is very thick, smooth and velvety, also sticky. The alcohol and the sugar are being felt. This is not a thirst quenching beer (!) but it can be drunk quite easily thanks to the dryness on the finish.
O: This is a beer for the gourmands, perfectly shaped for the dessert. Obviously, the is not recommended for the diabetes. Otherwise, this is excellent.

Served from bottle in a TG snifter

Pours deep dark brown with a thin half finger bubbly ecru head with min retention, moderate lacing.

Smells like a vanilla candle, pretty awesome, with a touch of booze and flaked oats on the nose. Taste starts with candi sweetness, strong vanilla notes, almost overpowering, with delightful oatmeal cleansing the palate and moderate warming booze that finishes the journey.

Very pleasant smooth, creamy, almost near watery body with moderate etoh.

Amazing strongly vanilla forward oatmeal stout with a great mouthfeel. Not worth $15 to buy another one at only 12oz but great to try once. You buy, and I will drink it....

It doesn't appear to be much out of the ordinary. It's thick and black, and by thick and black, I mean really thick and really black. It's liquid coal. The head is a bit lacking, somewhat a given considering the strength, but it's brown bubbles with little retention and no lacing.

Everything in the nose is fairly subdued and non-aggressive. Vanilla, roasted malts, toffee and chocolate are present and accounted for, but again, they show restraint.

The taste is awfully good. With the vanilla and sweet chocolate, it resembles a strong milk stout. With your eyes closed, you can see the vanilla shake being portrayed.

Extremely smooth and creamy. A bit sweet. Some heat from the ABV. While creamy, still just a bit grainy due to the high malt bill. Only when it's too warm does the heat from the ABV work the throat a bit too much. Full bodied and then some. Goes down a little too easy.

Overall, it's pretty spectacular. It's really just what I'm looking for, being a fan of the dark, chewy stuff.
