Stouts from PR can't be common, seeing as light lagers dominate the market. Thanks again to Kevin for another interesting sample.

Almost black, it's got the color though it seems to lack the viscosity. The tan head holds reasonably well at half a finger and leaves behind somewhat more than a modicum of creamy lacing.
Dark chocolate takes the lead in the aroma, with a creamy sweetness pushing it more toward milk chocolate as it goes. There is a hint of roast and caramel, as well as an interesting and unusual note perhaps of some dry malt adding a bit of cracker.
Sweetness and roast combine with a touch of cold-brewed coffee and caramel, but the crackery (as opposed to roasty or woody)dryness and overall thinness in the flavor aren't becoming of a stout. Still, the essentials are there.
It goes a little south in the over-carbonated body that's on the wrong side of medium and generally lackluster.

WOW!!! A very pleasant surprise on the Island where Rum and Watery Local Brews own the show. I knew about this Brewery beforehand so I made a bit of a mission out of going there.
After several days of Rums Drinks and Watery Medalla and Magna, this was just AWESOME!
I have a lot of Stout Experience and can say this stands up very well to MOST Stouts in the States. If you're a fan of Simple Stouts(I fancy Barrel Aged) this will make you smile!
THINK a more complex Guinness with a faint Chocolate note that came through more as it warmed up. $6/pint at the Brewery Bar which was a perfect price in my opinion.
If you're a beer geek like me craving a good brew while on vacation, look no further.
There is a very limited Stout presence in PR at Liquor Stores, and they're all 2-3x the price they sell for in the States.

tap

Pours black with a yellowish head, dissipates to nothing.

Smells of mild cocoa, coffee, and some nuttiness.

Cocoa and coffee malts with a bit of nutty and woody bitterness, mildly dry-hoppy.

Medium body with a tingle of carbonation on the tongue.

Pretty good stout, surprisingly good flavor for the strength, worth trying for stout fans. Not the best stout, but probably the best stout brewed in the Caribbean.

(Served in an American pint glass)

A- This beer pours a jet black body with a thin light tan bubbly head soon fading away. Big bubbles trail up the sides of glass.

S- The hint of roasted black malt and dark graham notes under a faint inky coffee hint in the finish.

T- The watery taste leads to a dark slightly sweet nougat of mellow roasted black malt and a cold coffee hint to it. There is a dried fruit sweetness in the finish and the sweetness lingers a bit in the aftertaste.

M- The medium mouthfeel has a low carbonation fizz and no alcohol heat noticed.

O- The very average stout is water in taste and texture with hints of dark malt. There is some depth to the malt but it is just not enough.
