(Served in an American pint glass)

A- This beer pours a clear light orange hue with a rigors pour only produces a week mass of white bubbles that are soon gone. There is a carbonation of big bubbles that race to the surface.

S- The clean flinty aroma has no other aromas even as it opens quite a bit.

T- The bitey sulfur flavor is dry with a clean dry finish of carbonic acid. As it warms a bit a hint of pale malt comes through but it can’t hold up to the carbonation.

M- The light mouthfeel has a scrubbing fizz and no alcohol heat noticed.

O- The dry sulfur bite with no hops at all and a very faint hint of malt makes this beer unenjoyable even on the hottest days.

This is my clear favorite beer that Old Harbor makes. OK, it is pretty mild but there is something about this beer that I really like. Coqui is a little frog only found on Puerto Rico by the way. It is a true Helles. This beer truly reassures you that the brew master is German and there is a lot of pride in his work.

Appearance- A very nice shade of pale yellow. A little bit of foam but not much

Smell- Very sweet and fruity.

Taste- Both a gentle hops bitterness and a sweet malt taste.

Mouthfeel- Average carbonation but very light.

Drinkability- It is a great beer all around for the climate down there and for the food. It easy to drink and very refreshing.

Old review from notes. Brought back to mainland by former fiancee' now wife.

A - Pale yellow beer, was expecting slightly darker, with a little bit of a head that had some decent lacing.

S - Very malty with some nice caramel, nuts, earth tones. Slightly sweet fruits. More than expected with how light the beer is.

T - Taste is along the lines with the nose, nice rich malts, little bit of lager yeast, just the tiniest bit of hops in the finish.

M - Lighter, good carbonation.

O - Really nice beer, if in Puerto Rico it's good to know there is definintely a nice beer place to go to.

Another interpretation of a classic beer by a puertorican brewery, though I heard that the brewer is not a local. This is a classic Lager that many will appreciate. The color is somewhat golden, had a 1 finger head. It was served on tap and was very cold, which added to the experience. The aroma was very refreshing, like gardeny and sweet. The taste was average, just as any other lager and nothing really stood out. The aftertaste it left was a bit bitter. Overall a good beer and a nice place to visit if you are in the Old San Juan area.

Pours an orange gold with a white head the dissipates to nothing.

Smells of light citrus and light barley malts.

Flavor is of lemon, coriander, and light grassy malts.

Light body with a light carbonation on the tongue.

A decent helles, quenches the thirst well in warm weather. As far as the style goes, you can do better, but probably not close by.

A nice all malt lager with appropriate balance and body. Light offering with full taste and clean lager character. Pale malt taste with nice hop support. A nice change of pace from the local macro of Medalla.

Keep up the good work Wolfgang!

This beer looks very light indeed. Its a pale straw color with a very foamy head. But aromas are quickly present and very complex mild hint of peanuts and obviously malt very inviting aroma. The taste is surprising for a beer with such a light color it's very full bodied and complex but refreshing and easy to drink at the same time. It is very drinkable especially with anything spicy or even fish or seafood.

A: single finger head with minimal retention on a cloudy pale gold body. Nice lacing.

S: Light in the nose with pale malts and lemon custard sweetness.

T: very tart lemon and malts which trails off into a subtly sweet finish also lemon.

M: light end of medium body and moderate carbonation. Too dry of a finish.

Overall: semi dry finish hurts mouthfeel and drinkability. The flavor grows on you however remains tart and sour throughout.
