1 l bottle from the brewery. The same beer is also sold as Gurmanai Dvariškas with IKI supermarket chain label.

Pours light hazy with white head, small carbonation bubbles cover all sides of the glass, the head slowly fades to a white ring on the top. Aroma is slightly yeasty, bits of fruit, straw-like malt, also some sourness.

Taste is light sourish, mild fruity esters reminding of apple and raspberries, well balanced with clean and mild bitterness, weak hints of yeast. Mouthfeel is medium with prickly carbonation in the beginning of the glass.

Way above other local beer and it seemed to me one of the best Lithuanian lagers and certainly better than Latvian and Estonian brews.

a great treat that i found in wine of dreams in warsaw.

this is a great example of something that is becoming somewhat popular in poland if not eastern europe. the unflitered... or bottle conditioned european lager. in theory most, as in this case, don't have any sugar added so they would technically be considered keller beer but i think that is an aspect lost in translation. this is a varietal that gets a bit pedantic and is of little interest to most B.A's. it doesn't taste like a keller bier but i think it has a more mature palate than most euro pales.

biggest serving of beer yet with a whole liter bottle for one. pour is very pleasant to the eye with a nice yellow golden body of some cloudiness and a beautiful doughy head of tight lace of about 2 and a half fingers. nose is a bit hard grain at first that disappates to expose a nice lemon zest. the husky grain is a aspect of the beer but it doesn't seem to overpower every aspect of it. a subtle pop corn husk in the back of the palate in bitterness that over time expands into straw and lemon grass. palate is a nice lemon citrus dry with a black pepper in mineral crisp on the tough, but not in heat. crispy and brisk with a subtle grain that is blended with the straw munich malt bitter quality and equally so with the mild bready yeast of the bottle conditioning. great beer... absolutely fantastic for grilled herbal meat.
