Poured into a mug, the appearance was a dark copper/almost red color with a finger’s worth of white foaminess. Sly lacing. The aroma has some toast, herbal qualities, caramel/toffee malts and a slight bready crispness. The flavor leaned towards the combination of those previously mentioned aromas in a sweet sort of way. Nice herbal to nutty to caramel aftertaste with a subsiding finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation and the ABV felt fine. Overall, decent Irish red ale that I could see myself having again.

Had on tap. Cloudy amber pour with a cream cap. Malt leads in smell and taste, but nothing powerfully, get caramel, mild bread, and grainy spice. All very light. This matched the feel, malts start, nothing finishes, just pitters out, almost airy yet not watery through the sip. Better representations of the style out there
