This is ABC's specialty beer only available at their Gettysburg restaurant. From their website, which has no other information:

"Stop in now and try ABC Gettysburg's new Specialty Beer, Vanilla Porter. This full-bodied dry cousin of the stout has a roasty flavor and is dark brown in color with a slight red hue. Our brewers add real vanilla bean to the brew which gives off a subtle sweetness which compliments the dry roasted flavor."

The porter was served with no head and appeared flat. At first taste, again, there was almost no presence of carbonation and a lack of head. It tasted smooth and had a slight vanilla quality that I think added greatly to the taste of the beer. However, the lack of carbonation was detrimental to my enjoyment.

I'm not sure if this is typical of this style only brewed in Gettysburg, their small, seasonal restaurant with dreadful hours (kitchen closes at 9pm for some reason) or if I just got a pint from a bad batch. In any case, I was disappointed.
