Filled up a growler with this beer.
Golden amber color with bright white head and lacing that fades quickly.
Not a whole lot in the nose of this beer, some piney citrus and a touch of tropical fruit.
You get the hops right away but not as much as you would think. It's balanced by a decent amount of malt and has a lingering dry and bitter taste.
It's a decent enough IPA, and a convenient purchase for me since the brewpub is within walking distance. I would drink this again but I wouldn't go out of my way to find this beer.
Appalachian has a few decent brews but I find most of them are lacking just a little bit in what I want from each style. And this is a good example.

A: Golden, slightly cloudy with lots of carbonation, a finger of white head.
S: Tropical fruit, sweet, light pine, canned peaches, light onion.
T: Pine, Pinesol, vitamin c chewable tablet, children’s aspirin, light sweetness, canned fruit cocktail.
M: Medium chewy body, with lots of fine bubbled carbonation. Resinous finish.
O: Very pleasant, fruity and drinkable. Really enjoying this one. Bought in Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
