As perfect a session IPA as you're likely to find. And for $10 for six pints, you really can't beat the price

This beer pours an extremely light blonde color, slight chill haze. The head is 4 fingers thick with decent lacing. The smell is of tropical fruit and hops, a very good nose. The taste is perfect for the style. It's a nice balance between resinous pineapple and mango hops and a very delicate and crisp malt back bone. the mouth feel is reminiscent of a typical light beer but the hop factor is of a West Coast IPA. I grew up surfing Ponto and bought this beer as a party favor for my groomsman's gift bags (I am getting married at Ponto beach next Year). Little did I know this beer would be amazing! For the style it's the best I've tried. Overall great hop profile, crisp clean malt and a low ABV. I highly recommend this brew.

Vintage:2014
Appearance: Transparent gold/straw; Fluffy, white, fast-dissipating head; good lace.
Smell: Lemon; Tangerine; Grassy herbal; Grapefruit; Pine
Taste: Fresh; Grapefruit; Pine; Herbal finish
Mouth-feel: Med/Low Carb; Light body; almost watery thin;
Overall: Great SIPA. True to style. The body is lacking, but that’s to be expected given the style. Wonderful hop character and complexity.

Appearance: Pours a clear goldenstraw with a very impressive three-fingers of soap bubble foam though the lacing wasn't particularly clingy

Smell: Mango and ruby red grapefruit

Taste: It is pretty hard to find any malt flavor here as the mango and grapefruit flavors take over from the outset; subtle hints of strawberry and a smidge of onion on the finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: This is the session IPA I have been looking for - just wish it were available here in North Carolina

Having had quite a few session ipas, this is by far the best.

A) its in 16 oz Tallboys.IMO every session beer should be in cans.
B) its just simply delicious, blowing away easy jack, all day, go to, etc. This is sincerely a solid beer

I got this beer in a trade. Thanks Skuter! Canned on 2/18/14.

Served in an 8 oz. stemmed tulip, Ponto pours with a sizable white, crisp, foamy head that quickly collapses on itself after a few minutes. The gold liquid underneath is fairly clear, showing off what little lazy bubbles there are in this beer. Overall, a pretty attractive IPA!

The aroma is perfect. It is the quintessential West Coast hop aroma right now, with a variety of hops that offer notes of lime, kumquat, mint, and pineapple. This is all laid over a light bready malt aroma.

The flavor is the same, with a citrus forward flavor that doesn't overwhelm the palate. It is zesty, quick, and very bright. The carbonation could be dialed up a notch, but the way it is now makes it drink more like an English Bitter/IPA hybrid. Wonderful flavors of honey, mint, kiwis and kumquats all intermingle on the palate.

This is a beer that I immediately wanted more of when I tried it. Extremely beautiful aroma, and a sessionable IPA that really satisfies the hop head and the average drinker at the same time.

A-Bright yellow almost glowing in color....frothy white head..

S-Aroma bursts from the can as you open it and pour it...a lot going on here...bright citrus (pink grapefruit), and pine are prevalent on the aroma....very aromatic

T-Loaded with hop flavor as well...bright citrus again with the pink grapefruit while also adding in some peach, as well as some tropical fruit sweetness...light grainy malt backing.

M-There's no way around it. The body seems too thin for this much flavor. I guess that is how it turns out with the lower ABV but in comparison to Founders All Day IPA this is much thinner feeling.

O-I'm very impressed with the aromatics and flavors this beer consists of. Really bursting with hop goodness and finishes with a clean, dry touch. An excellent session IPA.

Thanks for the awesome extra LaChupacabra!

Pours light gold with white head. Smell is fruity, bright hops, clean and inviting. Jenna said it smells like raspberry sauce. go figure... Taste is crisp, hoppy, fruity and refreshing with a citrus and earthiness. Medium body and nice carbonation. Refreshing and flavorful without a heavy bitterness or overly syrupy mouthfeel to it. Very nice session IPA.

A - Very light in color. Looks like a pilsner. Nice two finger white head with very large bubbles. Very nice lacing left from the held. Bright yellow beer that doesn't look at all like a IPA.

S - BIG hops right up front. Very piney. Smells bitter with a little bit of mango thrown in. This smells like a huge DIPA.

T - Very resinous pine and sweet malts. Lots of sweetness in the back. Very clean IPA flavor that you would never believe is 4.5%.

M - Very light and a decent amount of carbonation. Leaves a hoppy flavor on the palette.

O - I'm really loving the wave of session IPAs hitting the market. Another great beer from Port Brewing!

Been waiting to see more Session IPAs/PAs out there. Went for one at Beachwood-Seal Beach..had more than that. Nothing over the top in any way, but hit the spot for what I wanted. An IPA w/out the alcomahol....mmm...can still get things cross off my list after a couple. if you're into hops w/out the alcohol...this is a MUST try.
