650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Inky black. Stains the glass. Not much of a head, though.
Smell - Very bourbony. Sharp oak. Very intense. Too much, really. Dark chocolate. No sweetness.
Taste - Totally dominated by bourbon and oak. Sharp oak. Boozy bourbon. Bitter chocolate. Vanilla and bitter finish.
Mouthfeel - Very dry and kinda harsh. Bitter. Not easy to drink.
Overall - It's not easy to drink, but it's delicious.

650ml blue wax bottle, poured into a FFF/DMC snifter 6/21/2014.
A- Dark black body, not oily like a BADL but certainly substantial with a half finger mocha head with minimal retention and no lacing.
S- Bourbon, bourbon, bourbon. Very clean, with a sweet milk chocolate accompaniment as well as brownies and a bit of vanilla and oak. Well-executed on the nose. This is what I wish Parabola smelled like.
F- Bourbon- sweet, smokey charcoal- with sweet milk chocolate, coffee, dark chocolate, espresso and more bourbon. This is essentially bourbon milk chocolate. This is not complex but this is delicious and well-executed; despite the strength of the individual flavours, there is no harshness to be found on the palate.
M- Medium bodied, on the thicker side but not motor oil, not quite. Lower carbonation, slick and sticky. Bourbon chocolate brownies on the finish.
O- This really hits the spot very well, if that spot tastes like bourbon chocolate brownies. Not complex but very enjoyable nonetheless. It is what it is; if I had my druthers, this is a similar beer to Central Waters' Sixteen, so I would recommend just going for that one instead given that for every CFH you trade for, you could trade for 3-4 bottles of Sixteen instead.
