I look fed to this every year. It is better fresh (October) than stale.

Clear orange hue. Small head disappears quickly letting u know there is some high ABV coming your way.

Smell of strong malt and there is some floral hop, but none of the 15 (!) hop varieties stands out. It's dank though.

Taste is honey and citrus with some faint pine tones in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel is full bodied with some stinging alcohol and hop. This is a IIPA for sure. You could chew it.

Overall, really tough not to over malt this and make it a barley wine. This is one of the biggest IPAs I know of that is still very drinkable and a true IIPA.

Quite cloudy, dirty gold color. Good head to start that leaves a web of lace.

Leans hoppy but this is a well balanced beer to the nose. I get some mild toastiness on the malt with a fresh, floral hop nose.

The taste is more hoppy as expected for the style. If one hold the beer on the tongue, the malt will show itself (fully malted pale barley). The rest of the taste is black pepper bitterness. The body moderate with a subdued level of carbonation.
