Full Pint & like the greatest beer name evar!
A: Dark caramel amber color body with some orange hues and a light dusting of chill haze in its appearance. Works up a nice cap of soft khaki foam that sticks around for a few moments leaving a few broken tracks of lace left in its wake. Some random patches and dots noted as well.
S: The nose is redolent with passionfruit notes, candied grapefruit, and some white melon fruit character. Very clean profile too as there is not much of anything else going on here aside from some pale malt breadiness. They really just packed this one full of the juicy fruitlike aromatics. Solid stuff this is.
T: Passionfruit with melon, gooseberry, and tropical wildflowers. Galaxy type hop flavors it seems with a low actual perceived bitterness to this. Keeps things very smooth and hoppy thoughout. There is a sugary malt base to help keep balance here but not much of anything else as far as grain character is revealed. A touch grassy and herbal in the finish with a nice lasting linger. Very tasty and I find that the alcohol is really well hidden for this double dipa. Such a great tropical flavor profile.
M: Moderate filling body and leaning to the lighter side of things. Smooth and creamy texture across the palate with a low perceived bitterness. Nice and resinous with a touch of drying out in the finish.
D: Great aroma, great flavor, great balance. Just a great brew all around. Must be the Galaxy hops me thinks. I mean everyone knows that Han shot first!
