On tap at the Better Weather Fest at Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours an almost opaque super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, toasted oats, and cocoa. Taste is much the same with a mild roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is a really solid example of the style in my opinion.

On tap at Pizza Port Ocean Beach.
A: Very dark in color but not quite black. There's an inch of creamy beige froth.
S: Dark chocolate blends with cream, roasted grains, a little molasses, and oatmeal. I get some earth as well.
T: Sweet milk and dark chocolate with nutty notes and a touch of licorice. Lightly roasted grains blend with a whisper of dark fruit and a dash of cream. Low level of earthy bitterness. Cocoa, cream, and roast linger.
M: Medium body with upper medium carbonation.
Overall: A good Oatmeal Stout. Highly drinkable.

This was my 3rd beer tonight from PP San Clemente.
Dark brown into my pint glass. Not a lot of lacing unfortunately.
Roasted malts absolutely dominated the nose.
Taste of nice roasted malts, not quite as silky smooth as the "oatmeal" would have lead me to believe, but sitll a GREAT flavor.
Great mouthfeel. I feel it was a touch over carbonated though.
Super drinkable. Just a great beer from my local brew pub!

A: The pour is very dark brown, almost black, with a cream mocha colored head.
S: Lots of coffee and roast on the nose, with a nice bitter, dark chocolate. A touch of caramel sweetness as well as minimal earthy hop aromas. Not too many different things going on, but it smells good.
T: Bitter dark chocolate along with an intense roasted malt flavor give this beer a pretty substantial level of bitterness. Sweet oatmeal and toffee. A moderate coffee flavor is present as well.
M: The body is medium, not quite as silky as many oatmeal stouts, though, with a moderate carbonation.
D: A very pleasing and enjoyable beverage.

Pitcher shared with two other friends at the San Clemente location, on to the beer:

Drinking this blindfolded, I would have said chocoalte stout, not oatmeal stout. Semi-sweet chocoalte chips are the dominant flavor, however the oatmeal adds a little "cream" sweetness to the overall picture. It's a little thicker for its size, yet easy going down.
This would make a decent dessert beer, but in the overall picuture a pleasant beer to drink.

Cask at the 2010 Triple Rock firkin fest, had a couple glasses of this one. Dark chocolate brown body, opaque with a small tan head that settles to a thin collar. Great roasted malt and coffee aroma with hints of oatmeal cookie and roasted peanuts. Tastes like an oatmeal chocolate cookie. Not a ton of sweetness, but very smooth and balanced. Medium-light body, slightly thin. Lightly bitter finish with flavors of coffee and roasted malt lingering on the tongue. The oatmeal character is great in this, very enjoyable beer.

Had on cask a the 2010 Firkin Festival.
This poured a pitch black with a touch of an off white cream head 1/4″ thick.
It smelled sweet with roasted malt, steel cut oats, vanilla, and HUGE burnt caramel flavors. It even smelled heavy.
It tasted however, light, for an Oatmeal Stout, with: malt, vanilla, and burnt toast.
Good drinkability and decent carbonation.

On-tap at Blue Palms brewhouse. GABF gold medal winner for oatmeal stout, for whatever that's worth. Served in a nonic.
