App- pours a very nice dark/rich brown, with ruby colored highlights.1/2 inch head (from top creamy looking head, from side looks like over carb. light tan head).
Ar-not toooo much going on, but... sweet, cola, burnt sugar or burnt sweetnes(couldn't get a good hold of that note),and a small hint of molasses.
T-Cola(it's there),sweet, fruity. thats what I remember from it.finishes with a bit of a smokey note.
Mf/D-harsh towards the finish, not too easy drinking but drinkable (1-2 glasess).
it was a bit better from Draft than growler.

On-tap at Beachwood BBQ,
A: Pours red-brown with a soft finger of white head, good retention and lace.
S: Seaside, peaty smell, very malty.
T: At a lower temperature, there is an intriguing cola component. Warming up gives more traditional flavours - molasses, treacle, sweet malt and light hopping.
M: Smooth and creamy, medium-bodied, with a bit of warming alcohol.
D: A very good effort, clearly better for my palate than than Way Heavy I had a few months back, definitely worth a shot.

On tap at Beachwood BBQ. A huge pour given, must have been 20oz or so. Undaunted, I downed it all. I had to add this beer to BA. Checking whether it was in the database took forever since the Pizza Ports brew about 2 million beers total.
Dark brown color with a one-finger beige head and some lacing.
Aroma is a little muted but still good. Caramel, roast, and wood, maybe some mild fruitiness.
Flavor is much more intense, with caramel, toffee, nuts, wood/earth, and some peatiness.
Medium on the body with a very smooth mouthfeel.
Drinkability is surprisingly high for the style and ABV. This won GABF gold I hear, and it definitely is a solid example of this style.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad in Carlsbad, CA.
Pours a clear dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a ring of foam around the edge of the glass. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of roasted malt, caramel, toffee, and some slight fruity aromas. Taste is much the same with a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate after each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Enjoyed on-tap @ Pizza Port Brewing in Carlsbad, CA for $5. Tapped from the Black Non-Labeled Tap Handle into a Pint Glass and shared with Ralph.
Aroma- Tons of malty, good smoky background and has hints of caramel. Seems like it is much stronger than any others and has a bit of alcohol on the nose. Can't tell if there is any hop present but this isn't a problem.
Appearance- Light brown/dark amber body with a 1.5 finger of off white head. Good lacing also.
Flavor- Smoky and very malty from the start. Has a caramelized taste throughout but mostly sweet and subtle. Has a low bitterness at the finish.
Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, Smooth, very sweet on the palate, and has a small amount of alcohol warmth.
Overall Impression- If it had more body, this one would be perfect! Very sweet, malty, and has good complexity. Alcohol was detected but not over the top for the style. Will be having more Wee Heavy/Scotch Ales coming up.

On-tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad
The beer pours a dark amber color with a thin khaki head. Sweet malt, particularly toffee, on the nose with a nice bread and molasses aroma. A touch of peat and quite a bit of dark fruit. Mild alcohol on the flavor with lots of rich malt flavor in the form of toffee, molasses, and toasted bread. Good fruit notes, mild peatiness, perhaps just a hint of cocoa.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad.
A: Crimson kissed dark brown with a big off-white head. Looks like beer.
S: Prominent toffee and caramel notes. The malt is rich and complex. The beer has a light peaty quality with accompanying earth and a touch of smoke.
T: Toffee and caramelization with notes of bread and peat. This tastes really good. Lightly earthy with a low bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. There are light smoke notes accompanying equally light roast notes.
M: Upper medium body with moderate carbonation. The mouthfeel is creamy with warming.
Overall: An outstanding Scotch Ale that's deserving of the medals it's won.
