Lets keep this one simple.

This is a kick ass classic west coast IPA.

Super piney with some fruit on the nose. Pours clear, clean and very consistent.
Goes great with chiles and other spicy foods.

Always ultra fresh with convenient canned on date on the bottom. Usually when I get these they are only a week or two old. Cant beat that!

Swamis, I love you... at $13 for 6 pints my wallet also loves you.

One of my favorite daily drivers, get some.

Thanks to Orthodoxkardia for this one.

16oz can pours a hazy vibrant yellow rig over an inch of frothy white head. Tons of lacing. Tropical fruit aroma of mango, guava and papaya. Some pine and grapefruit. Slightly doughy. The taste is floral hops with some more of the guava and pine. Bready with a good amount of grapefruit towards the finish. Tastes slightly boozier than I expected. Moderate amount of carbonation with a mouthfeel on the heavier side for an IPA. Slick and very drinkable. Overall, this would be a Go-To canned IPAD for me if it were readily available.

Purchased in a six-pack of tallboys. I should mention I purchased this beer 5 days (!!!) after the canning date. Not obscenely expensive when you factor in the amount of beer you get for your money.

A: I'll admit, it's not the best looking beer ever. Pours a clear, golden yellow with a fair amount of white head that sticks around for a bit.

S: This beer shines here. Caramel sweetness, citrus, tropical fruit, melon. This is an awesome beer to smell, even straight out of the can (I've had it both ways)

T: Starts with that spicy, tropical bitterness that fades in to a smooth mellow malt sweetness. Solid west coast IPA with a nice malt bill to back it up.

M: Long, bitter finish. Good carbonation for the style, cleans up the sweet and finishes dry.

O: I feel like this beer is underrated. I found the last six pack in the store, and to be honest I never cared for Pizza Port/Port Brewing/Lost Abbey. At this price I can afford to drink this one, it's tasty, and it may just be my new go-to six pack. Cheers.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned Oct 7th. 2014.

Extremely pale amber, nearly lemon, with some faint bronze orange highlights in the body color with great clarity. Lost of plentiful and nice looking carbonation, reaching to a big creamy thick filled off white four finger head. Thick creamy retention with angel food cake like creamy top. Thick bubbled but slowly settles and doesn't break into chunks. Real nice.

Very nice hop juiced fruit tropical aroma. Some nice grass and fresh mellow cut senses going on with a hint of herbality too. Slightly spicy, and has a bit of mango character it seems. Subtle and subdued sweetness also.

Palate comes with a bit more crisp character. Steely fruit and washing tropical flavors. Hints of melon and mango like flavors with a clean and very crisp almost Kolsch like body. A mild sense of ripping grain on this, nearly husky but with lots of dryness. Some intersting sugar spices kick in as well

Pretty nice, but quite light bodied, and not so big on the fruit angle. Definitely a good IPA and some of its mellow character makes it a bit appealing too.

Nice, almost clear yellow-orange pour. Very frothy head with excellent retention.

Smell is a nice blend of citrus and equal amount pine. Pine sap foward with nice hints of grapefruit, pinneapple, orange peel and lemon zest.

Citrus foward taste, getting plenty of grapefruit and lemon zest. Pine comes in the middle, and that hop resin coats the palate at the end.

Mouthfeel is very sharp crispness, medium carbonation and a sharp hop bite.

Pours a 90% clear golden yellow. Ginormous dish soap head tries to climb out of the glass amd sticks to the sides like a bathtub beard.

Smells super hoppy. A bunch of piney/grassy fresh green cones. A bit of citrus and some almost pilsner like grains.

This puppy is green! I envision the Deschutes Fresh Squeezed logo. In your face floral/herbal flavors. There is also some lemon and grapefruit along with a light grainy body. A solid crispness and bitter-sour combo punch. Some slick resin lingers on the tongue. Maybe a bit drying. Excellent beer.

I would describe this one as a session version of Hop Stoopid in a lot of ways.

2 week old pint sized can to DFH IPA glass (9/5/14). Lots of fluffy white head and golden colored beer, tons of lacing as beer settled

Aroma is popping with citrus and a little bit of pine

Taste starts of with a good amount of sweetness. Mango pineapple grapefruit orange are noticeable Good amount of hop bitterness hits you on the finish for a good balance

Mouthfeel is perfect for a crushable IPA like this. Good amount of carbonation, medium body, goes down smooth and slight dry finish.

Overall a great example of a west coast IPA and at this price ($13 for 6 pack of 16 oz) I wish I lived in San Diego, this would no doubt be a mainstay in my fridge. Just got back from a vaca in San Diego and already want to go I back.

Can from Whole Foods. Canned 04 Dec.

A clear light orange with a thin, off white head with decent retention and lacing, this looks decent. The nose is solid. Bright lemon peel and pine, clean, snappy, oily and hoppy, wonderfully piney and nicely floral. The palate opens bright and pungent with orange peel, pine and a moderate bitterness. Resiny on the mid palate with pleasing stickiness, this beer is light in body, has minimal malt character and is great on the palate. Drying and bitter on the finish with lingering hop oils, point resin and pungent citrus, this beer is excellent. Highly recommended. Exceptionally clean.

16oz tallboy can. Dated 11/26/2014. Poured into a stemless glass 12/16/2014.

A- Clear yellow-copper body, light golden hued with a two finger white head with nice effervescence. It looks clean, crisp and refreshing with nice carbonation in form of the head that has a good bit of longevity. Nice collar, lacing.

S- As soon as I popped the can, aromas of lemon and citrus wafted out and pleasured my senses. Very aromatic, citrusy and dry resins. Clean pale malt sweetness of which there isn't much, but just enough that the citrus isn't too overwhelming. Smells great, intense although not incredibly complex. Certainly delivers on the citrus.

F- Clean caramel flavour that is distinctly clean and mildly sweet, with a nice lemon, grapefruit flavour punch with a bit of pine and citrus bitterness on the backend. Not superbly complex, but very tasty, intense yet reasonably approachable for the average IPA consumer.

M- Medium bodied, very nice and dry, perfect carbonation such that it's not too prickly or too flat. Pine, citrus bitterness dominates on the backend. Fairly bitter as expected.

O- Another clean example of a west coast-style IPA. It's definitely worth picking up on a regular basis if this is available to you in such a manner. However, it does not supplant the likes of Duet and Nelson in terms of San Diego IPAs. It is certainly much easier to get and is a very good IPA.

From a can. Pours a clear crisp golden tan color with generous foaming.
This is the definition of catty, cat pee and onions and garlicky hops come across on the aroma. It could very well be the first beer I've noticed this combination so present, and it dominates the citrusy orange notes that come out. Bitter and biting, but dangerously addictive all the same. Is it safe to say this beer blew my mind?

L: Medium orange in color, extremely clear, but a lot of visible particulates. Pure white head which looks quite nice but dissipates fairly quickly.

S: Citrus game is strong. Also some light pine aromas as well as tropical fruit. A little dank. Smells quite nice.

T: Taste is dominated by resinous, dank, hops. Only a little bit of the citrus and tropical fruit present in the smell is detectable in the taste. Nice if you like resinous IPAs.

F: Medium full body. A moderate amount of moderate intensity carbonation. Moderate to moderate high bitterness.

O: So I drank this beer cold yesterday and I didn't really like it at all. Today, I drank it at room temperature (and did this review) and it tastes totally different. I don't know if something weird is going on with me, but my recommendation would be to taste this closer to room temp than to fridge temp.

This is one of my go-to's. Love the 6x16 can format, and priced well.
Very crisp and clean golden IPA with a pleasant classic pine and citrus aroma. My favorite part, those hops are complemented with unique and delicious grainy, and toasted sesame like flavors. A staple in my fridge. Cheers!
