A- Dark Brown color, with a nice bright clarity. Nice head retention with an off white lacing.
S- Smells roasty and hints of chocolate and coffee hidden in there. A little estery, but doesnt shine through too much.
T- Roasty with a hint of macadamia nut. A little coffee overtone to the whole beer. drys out nicely.
M- Light to medium body. Delicate carbonation feeling right before it drys out completely.

Splitting this bottle with a friend of mine who just attended the national homebrewers conference. Apparently, they gave it out to everyone there!
It pours a nice black color with a surprisingly light colored head that has incredible retention! The aroma is very fruity and estery...seems more like a traditional english porter than american based on yeast character alone. There is a nice roast that blends with the esters. The flavor is similar, but the flavors are melded a bit better together than in the aroma. It finishes somewhat dry and refreshing. [sidenote: i'm thoroughly enjoying it!]. The finishing bitterness is nice and goes well with the dryness and roast of the beer. There is some silkiness in the mouthfeel, which is nice this beer because I'm not usde to that in a porter with this ABV.
Well done, guys! I still love you!

Deep, dark brown. Thin tan head. Plenty of lacing down the glass.
Muted aromas. Some roasted malts and a touch of chocolate, but not a particularly aromatic beer.
A delicious, robust porter. Plenty of roasted malts with a touch of sweetness and a hint of bitterness. Incredibly drinkable.
Big, robust, full in the mouth. Smooth and delicious; substantial yet highly drinkable.
A delicious yet simple and accessible American porter.

A: Reddish dark brown with a big light brown head.
S: Roasted malt is balanced by a stellar chocolate profile. Fruity esters are faint. No evident alcohol.
T: Lightly burnt malt with a moderate roasted quality. Chocolate is strong and steals the show. Bitterness is at a medium level. Finishes dry and smooth.
M: Medium in body with higher moderate carbonation. Mouthfeel is dry and smooth.
Overall: A really good robust porter.

On tap at the Veritas 009 release. Poured into a shaker pint. Pours a super dark brown/black. Nice tan head with good lacing.
Aroma is chocolatie and roastie. Little bit of caramel.
Taste is solid. Smooth and chocolatie and I bit of caramel. Little bit of roast. Soo good.
Mouthfeel is so smooth. Nice carb.
Overall a very good porter. I think I might like it better than black butte. Hopefully they start makin 6 packs because I'll buy this all the time if they do.
