Pale amber in the pint shaker with a hint of greenish and slightly hazed. Very light bodied, slightly oily, and perfumed with resins and flowery hops. Faint malty flavors and then seriously taken over by the hops. Brewery in San Clemente says it is brewed with Cascades, Simcoe, and Citra hops. They rate it at 6.6% ABV.
Some aromatic hop flavors do provide some interest, but mostly it gets bitter. Tangy and bitter, if you like that sort of thing. The hop flavors are nice at first, but it is another too much of a good thing brew.

Yellow pour, not a great deal of clarity going on, thin head in the below .5" range. Big simcoe aroma, this is almost scathingly simcoe and amarillo. The first time I had it, the beer had me wondering if they just had some old nelson hops, but the latter batch I drank made it clear that this was Simcoe.
Taste, same thing, Simcoe all over it, pine, bitter gold grapefruit are the primary tastes, bitterness is high, but not a one trick pony high, nigh, still an enjoyable kind of simcoe bitterness. The hoppiness is definitely dry and crisp all the way through the mouthfeel. A little bit of Citra and Cascade thrown in for good measure.
Have had this two separate times now at Pizza Port San Clemente, a decent difference between the two tastings. Wish they would put Psuedo IPA on as much as this, but hey, this is good too.

San Clemente, CA
Slightly hazed golden. Creamy near-white head. Regular lines of lace left down the glass. Pretty and appropriate.
Dank aroma: marijuana and pine combine nicely, along with a bit of bitter citrus zest. A touch of sweetness. Complete, and better than the flavor.
Moderate bitterness, marijuana and a little pine, along with bread and sweet caramel. Very drinkable. Classic house IPA for a world-class house.
Medium bodied with near-high carbonation. Crisp.
Very nice, though not a standout in Southern California.

On-tap at Pizza Port San Clemente
Pours a lightly hazed golden orange color with a white head. Wonderful citrus and citrus peel aroma along with hints of pine, tropical fruit, and grass. Just a hint of bread/malt. The flavor is just as good. Nice crisp hopppiness and plenty of citrus with a moderate pine and grapefruit bitterness. A touch of malt in the background. One of the better beers from San Clemente in awhile.

On cask at Beachwood I,
A: Pours a light orange with a medium white head which leaves good lace.
S: Floral hops, pine, with a lot of citrus peel.
T: Orange peel, grapefruit and pine, hop forward with a minimal malt presence. Nice complexity of flavours.
M: Medium-bodied, soft carbonation, creamy, very resiny.
O: A very solid CA style IPA. An enjoyable pint, I enjoying trying these new IPAs from Port, they're almost always good.

On tap at Pizza Port San Clemente. This is the second batch of this beer.
A: Hazy yellow with a finger of white froth. Scattered lacing.
S: Aromatic pine and floral characteristics. Orange blends with nectarine and grapefruit. Malt isn't evident in the nose
T: Juicy orange and grapefruit notes with floral character and no malt influence. Tropical notes are light and there's a subtle herbal note in the bitter pithy finish. Nice fruity hop profile.
M: Upper light body with upper medium carbonation.
Overall: An enjoyable light bodied IPA. It's no Pseudo but it's a solid start for the new brewer.
