off white tan color head approaching a full inch in size, dark black appearance. Lots of hops in the aroma, roast and chocolate in no small portions either. I dunno if I want this much bitterness in the aroma.
Taste, bitterness comes back down a tad, but still this is definitely an imperial of stouts. Its big. Its alcohol wafts all over your face. Its like that old school imperial export style of stout. No adjuncts. Mouthfeel is too much bitter roastiness for it to be a return beer for me, unless their tap selection is totally fucked next time Im there, which it never is.

A solid appearance of dark, thick brown and black color with a full 1" of head on it in the off white style. Solid dose of roast all up in the chocolate malt. Coffee aspect is mild. Hops are not, solid bitterness like a west coast porter. Nugget/Cascade possibly.
Chocolate comes out in the taste, bitterness solid but not distracting. The heat is present in this one. Could use a little more sweetness to balance out the bitter and heat.
A good offering, but not anything I clamor for when I visit PP.
