Our Gran Met (Grand Master) is an Ale made from our Propriatery yeast from a small brewery in Belgium. We use Cane and Beet sugar, along with German Pilsner Malt to create the unique flavor of this age old style. We also use a unique fermentation process of slowly adding the sugars to the fermentation during fermentation. This allows the yeast to more slowly ferment the beer without overloading the yeast. This process allows for a more clean, tight flavor profile.

Had this on 2015-01-18 in Columbia, PA from a 22 oz bottle

A - Hazy gold with a 1/2-finger white head and little lace.

S - Sweet cherry pie, fresh plum, Belgian yeast/perfume. Very appealing.

T - Echoes the aromas but more tart. Allspice. Graham cracker. Finishes with some moderate balancing bitterness and acidity without losing all the candy sweetness. Alcohol is evident but restrained.

M - Medium body and light carbonation. Smooth.

O - An enjoyable, well-balanced triple that doesn't have as strong a yeast flavor as some triples.

I usually stay away from beers which are more of an IPA hopped up style. This beer delivers a very smooth sweet taste which I love. The beet sugar definitely comes through and helps to jack up the ABV to near 10% ABV. Let a couple of my NYC friends try and they are now addicted to this beer. Lucky for them it is now sold at Whole Foods. One of my favorite beers out there. Founder Matt Allyn delivers an amazing beer!
