This is our Belgian style trippel aged on intimate fruits of passionfruit, raspberry and cherry. Lightly spiced with coriander and curqua orange peel and other spices of passion. Light reddish hue and nicely carbonated in the bottle.

Beer pours a dark reddish-orange, with very little, quickly dissolving, highly carbonated head. Smell is sweet, with lots of berry odor.

Taste is very fruity, with lots of acidic carbonation, almost like a soda. Just shy of cloyingly sweet. Really tastes more like juice than a traditional tripel. Alcohol, listed at 9.5% on bottle, is completely hidden.

A very unusual beer, definitely worth trying.

Aroma is cherries/raspberries/berries, malts and a hint of cloves. The flavor is cherries/juice/fruit, malts and a spicy Belgian yeast/cloves/medicinal finish.

Bought at the brewery. Concept makes some sense in adding fruit onto the fruity notes of a good Belgian yeast but it doesn’t work in this beer. The sweet fruit characteristics overpower the spicy, fruity yeast flavors that make Belgian Tripels done well so good. And the worst thing about this beer is a metallic, medicinal flavor, mostly on the finish, that makes it almost undrinkable.

How I enjoyed this fruity Belgian Tripel...

Out of the bottle it poured a not-so-appealing amber-ish color but it did have a nice frothy, white head. The rest of it was so good. The smell was fruity without that boozy twinge on the nose, the mouthfeel was so smooth and lightly crisp (very unique), and the taste was slightly sweet with a light boozy burn - very balanced. Overall, this is very good, something I wouldn't hesitate to reach for again.

Tripel is a style that is so odd to adjunct. It just doesn't seem like a platform for passionfruit, raspberry, and cherry. That being said, I did recently try and enjoy Founder's Belgian Twist which was a Tripel with blue agave, so adjuncts in the style seem more approachable after that. Let's see what this one is all about

Pours a cloudy brownish orange with 2 fingers of rocky off white head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

In the nose this really is just mostly a vehicle for the fruit instead of a Tripel, but it's somewhat enjoyable. I'm picking up on aromas of tart cherry, raspberry cordial, pear skin, brown bread, clove, and a touch of candi sugar

Even with more of the underlying beer poking through in taste, it just gets weirder, and even hits a medicinal vibe on the finish. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting tart cherry, passionfruit, clove, bready malt, banana, sweet honey, and light clove. The swallow brings notes of cherry medicine, clove, sweet honey, overripe banana, brown bread and pear skin

A medium full body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes mostly sticky with an acrid medicine vibe

This is a really perplexing beer. Who is this for? If you're looking for a Tripel, this is barely serviceable, and if you want fruit or sour in a digestible format, just get a Kettle Sour and call it a day. It would certainly be better than this

L: Pours a dark orangish color with no head or lacing on the glass.

S: Lots of passion fruit, raspberry, smells tart and sweet, I get a lot of fruit but the characteristics I usually expect from a tripel are buried under the fruit.

T: Some belgiany yeast and coriander with lots of passionfruit, and raspberry, but I get a lot more of the Belgian characteristics in the taste than I did in the aroma.

F: Big body, smooth carbonation.

O: The fruit overpowers some of the tripel characteristics but overall this is a very solid fruit beer.

Rating is geared mostly due to lack of carbonation. Not sure if my bottle was bad or what, however it seemed flat and little to no carbonation which affected flavors.

12oz undated bottle poured into a teku glass at fridge temp 9.5% ABV per label. Tripel brewed with cherries, raspberries and passion fruit. The beer pours mostly bright red tinted amber with off white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and island of tiny bubbles. Nearly no lacing. The aroma is mild with vague fruit and some Belgian yeast notes. The taste is sweet, clovey with plenty of malt and candi sugar. Minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, good. Tripels aren't my favorite style, but this is well done and the fruit is very subtle.
