Didn't know what to expect, but pleasantly surprised. Great color, opaque with swirls of solids, leans toward pink. This one was lacking carbonation, In fact it was barely detectable and I would have liked to have some. Cherry and passion fruit are out front, malt and yeast right behind. Just sweet enough. This edition was 9.5 ABV, and if it didn't say so on the bottle, you would never know it. Be careful wit this one, you could easily have a few too many if there is such a thing.

Very interesting fruited Tripel with ample support from a 10.5% backbone. I like how the Belgian yeast character plays off the fruit. I can pick out the passion fruit and raspberry, the cherry is a little harder to discern. Underrated- I wish I shared this one with others. It has complexity but alas, the yeast character may scare some away.

Got in a BIF from JNForsyth. 22 ounce bottle into chalice; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lightly tart raspberry, cherry, passion fruit, peach, pear, apple, pepper, clove, honey, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, fruits, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lightly tart raspberry, cherry, passion fruit, peach, pear, apple, pepper, clove, honey, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy yeast spiciness and light tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of raspberry, cherry, passion fruit, peach, pear, apple, pepper, clove, honey, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, fruits, and pale malt sweetness; with a great malt/yeast/fruit balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome fruited tripel style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, fruits, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

2015 batch, 9.2% abv

Pours a hazy light golden almost pinkish color.

Smells like raspberries.

Taste is subtle malt that cascades into a pleasant berry sweetness.

The carbonation is appropriate.

Overall this is a tasty beer that hides the alcohol content, anyone who enjoys fruit beers will most likely enjoy this.

One of my favorite beers on the market. Coming in at a monster 10% ABV it's very smooth and the fruit really pops and comes through on this beer. Matt Allyn hit the mark with this one.
