Reviewed from notes.

Poured in to pint glass from a nitro tap. Took a very long time to pour, but it was worth every minute.

Jet black with a velvety smooth tan head. The head lasted until the end of the beer and it left some pretty kickass lacing.

Very roasty. Chocolate, coffee, and some toffee.

Smooth milk chocolate and roasted malt hit front. The chocolate and taste of lactose subside a bit and lets the roasted malt and coffee flavors really shine, though it is very sweet throughout. Nice bitter finish.

Full bodied and chewy. Very creamy. Slightly astringent finish.

This was one super awesome stout. Not at all what I was expecting, but it blew my expectations out of the water.

A-On nitro tap at Capone's poured into a shaker pint glass. Oh the beautiful cascading nitro pour, Like Guinness, only good. A nice one and a half finger head followed by copious amounts of lacing.

S-A very nice blend of coffee, chocolate, vanilla and caramel and roasted malts.

T- Incredible, like drinking a mocha milk shake. Strong coffee and chocolate flavors with some vanilla and a creamy sweetness in the background.

M- Oh so smooth, possibly the greatest mouthfeel I have ever experienced in a beer. the nitro just makes for a ridiculously smooth beer.

D- Goes down so easy. I don't know what else to say, except I really hope that Voodoo decides to bottle this beer.

Voodoo- Cowbell

On tap at the Hulmeville Inn.

A- Dark black, thick, with a small tight lacing head.
S- Dusty bitter dark chocolate with a light touch of cream and roasted coffee beans.
T- Thick chocolate malt. Bitter dark chocolate/ hot chocolate with a good lightly sweet cream and burnt coffee bean flavor.
M- Thick dry powdery hot chocolate. Semi sweet creamy body with a bitter cocoa and slight acrid coffee bean finish.

Overall- This is practically hot chocolate in beer form.

On nitro-tap at Capone’s,a great nitro beer as its best features are brought out. Creamy mouthfeel, big thick head on a black body. A great stout smoothy. A Good roasting, good milk chocolate, rich, fun, vanilla, milk.A good balance of sweet and bitter elements.

On tap at Blue Dog in Lansdale, PA.

A- Nice and dark with creamy head.

S- Nice, very sweet and creamy scent.

T- Very sweet and full of chocolate.

m- Very creamy and low carb'd compared to what I'm used to.

D- Nice and easy to drink.

EDIT: I realize that when I wrote this review, I certainly reviewed it according to personal likes and dislikes and not to the style. I've also never had beer on nitro and I certainly was not used to the serving. Numbers have been adjusted to compensate for the difference between the style and my personal impression. I also happened to have another cowbell the other evening... the bartender served me a cowbell instead of what I asked for and I decided to just drink it again anyway to see if my impression had changed. On my first review I may have been a little too intoxicated to make a fair review of the beer anyway.

Shared by capra12. Poured from a growler into a Troegs pint glass.

A: Super vigorous pour yields no head. Maybe a couple of giant bubbles floating at the top of a ptich black brew. No lacing either.

S: Chocolate, slight coffee, lactose, vanilla, nutty, slight sweet sourness, and an oddly pleasant mintyness.

T: Opens minty nutty chocolate, milk chocolate malt, slight booziness. Just realized that this one clocks in at 8.5%. How could this possibly be 8.5%!?!?! Drinks like a 5%... maybe less. No aftertaste, maybe a hint of coffee bitterness but very, very faint.

M: Medium bodied and flatter than a pancake made with 2008 Angel's Share batter! Slightly oily in the mouth and watery. So smooth since there's no carbonation to aggravate the palate. Finish is clean with little to no aftertaste. Slight viscousness towards the end.

D: One of the most drinkable milk stouts that I've ever had. Doesn't get a full grade in mouth, taste, or drink because I could do with some carbonation. Regardless, still very very good and the alcohol in this one is completely masked.

Had a goblet at Liberty St. Tavern. Man, this is one big chocolatey beer - but not too much or too thick. The body is smooth, almost velvety, and rich. There are oats, bread crust, milk chocolate, malt candy. Despite the sweetness and mouthfeel, this beer was a pleasure to drink. One of the best dessert beers I've come across in some time.

Christmas seasonal from Voodoo Brewery on nitro at UPick6 Beer Store in Erie, PA.

delicious sweet stout, as smooth as the day is long. Served in a tulip, sweet coffee notes maybe mocha leaves a sweet milkshakey like feel in the mouth. magnificient opener perfect for a snowy Erie day.

Sweetness gets a touch overbearing after a couple of pints, so moved on to something more easy drinking. My only problem with this beer is I struggle to take more than 2 pints before the sweetness turns me slightly off. Desperate to try from a bottle to see if same effect.

A- Nice dark brown look. Coming off the nitro tap you can see head shoot down to the bottom of the glass and coming back up. Nice head with a coated lace.

S- Chocolate and and coffee notes.

T- Chocolate and oatmeal. Very creamy tasty almost like drinking a Chocolate milkshake. Sweet and did I saw tasty.

M- Very Creamy through the whole sip. Go's down very easy.

D- Man I have to give this up to my partner for recommending this is beer. A killer beer from start to finish. The nitro just enhance the whole experience for this beer. Thanks Capone's

Cheers....
