Served on tap at Brouwer's in Seattle, came in the proper branded glassware. A very light tea-like yellow with a mondo bright white head that just sat atop the beer forever causing me to have to wipe my nose off after the first few sips. Smell is soft and very herbal/floral and fresh. An interesting style that I had not tried before, still retains those typical belgian notes but this is even more abundant than expected with herbal/medicinal qualities. Overall, interesting and fun but finishing the whole glass became a slight chore.

L- Deep amber, very slightly hazy, pours with a fat 2-3Cm pillowy just off-white head. [ps 15mins later, still holding very well].
S- It has a distinct green/verdant/planty smell to it, unusual+unsure what that is.
T- Lovely, but hard to describe! It is not comtemporary, it's not a hop-bomb (despite it's name). Hops are noticable but I wouldn't call them prominent they're in balance. There seems to be a fruit note going on in here that's very pleasant...
F- .... amongst the somewhat rich and pungent feel. Considering it's 9.5% it's really quite subtle about it, I can sense a solid ABV% but I wouldn't have guessed that high.
O- Very nice and something a bit different. It's a solid 9.5% Belgian that's not a Dubbel/Tripel etc. There is less of a rich body risking being a touch sweet, and more of a hoppy body that never gets to be too dry. There is a quite pungent fruity note within the mix as well.

Pours a nice head. Golden color and nice lacing and retention.

The hops were there, but not really in the belgian IPA sense. These were pretty much straight up spice, with only a hint of bitterness cutting through the candy sweet belgian yeast. Still tasty.

Tastes like it smells: pretty good, The yeast and malt are very brown sugary sweet.

Overall, a very good Belgian IPA, one of the best in the style behind Chouffe Houblon and Duvel Citra however...

Cheers!

Pours clear golden, topped with small head. Retention fair.

Aroma is quite artificial, almost a medical scent. Elements of fruitiness, but over bearing alcohol.

Taste is pretty good, although really potent on the alcohol, dare I say almost too strong?....there I said it.

Feel is quite sharp, but again due to the alcohol hit.

Overall this is a very good beer, but it feels and tastes like a quad.

A garden variety belgian ipa, in both meanings. For the flavors there are elements of grass, leaves, earth, apple, cherry, orange, sugarcane, and mushroom. In the other sense, it is a typical belgian ipa with plenty of yeasts, good amount of hops for style, and golden raisin flavored malts.

11.2 oz bottle poured heavily into a libbey porter/stout glass. 13:50 K20F 13 stamped on product code on back.

Appearance- hazy straw color with a frothy white head that dissipates quickly. notice some yeast floating around. nothing crazy.

Aroma- yeasty with some biscuit. do get a hoppy smell but to me it's completely spicy like saaz hops. different. almost like a imperial lager that's hopped up.

Taste- like the aroma but with some soft caramel malt. bitterness is light. abv is undetected.

Mouthfeel- medium/ light bodied. good carbonation. has a slight silky texture to it. really nice.

Drinkability- definitely gonna grab more of this in the future.

Overall- didn't know what to expect coming from a hoppy belgian. this brew has no common hop characteristics of an american ipa. i don't get any grapefruit, pine, pineapple, grass, etc. almost reminds me of an imperial pale lager. it's spicy with the slightest bit of that belgian clove flavor. different but good.

Hazy golden colour with a fluffy head that's quite stable. Quite a lot of yeast flakes, but that could be due to poor pourmanship ;). The smell was a bit weird at the start: all i smelled was sour apple. The taste wasn't very thrilling in the beginning either: it actually tasted a lot like a buffed czech pilsener, which is not what i was looking for in a beer like this. Luckily however, this beer evolves as it warms up. Flavours like honey, orange, fig, cinnamon and banana make their way in, turning this beer into some sort of tripel/quadrupel hybrid. Mild bitterness in the finish. Full-bodied and smooth. Lowered the overall score though: the amount of hops i noticed do not justify a name like "Hop-It" (love the pun though).

330ml bottle poured into an oversized wine glass.

Hazy golden brass in color, the pour quickly builds massive silky white head that very well retains itself with remarkable retention before slowly collapsing to an eternal fluffy layer that won’t die down until the last sip and leaving plenty of sticky lacing patch and spot.

The aroma is sweet, floral, and fruity that is mostly led by fruity yeast and fruity hop with notes of citrus, lime, banana, peach, apricot, ripe mango, and some spice. Malt is solid and upright with its bread, caramel, and honey. There is also an obvious evidence of sugar and molasses as well as slight alcohol.

The taste is dominated by fruitiness from both hop and yeast providing the flavors of citrus, lime, banana, peach, apricot, ripe mango, spice, and moderate herbal bitterness. Sweetness from malt participates in the middle with notes of bread, caramel, and honey as well as the addition of sugar and molasses. The end and aftertaste is quite lasting with some bitterness, some residual sweet fruitiness, and a hint of alcohol.

Medium body with very smooth mouthfeel and good crisp yet quite lively carbonation through the palate, the feeling is well-rounded and in good harmony with its aroma and flavor. Finish is very dry from alcohol dryness.

This one is a real deal. It is tasty and bold with lots of aroma and flavor together with a very good palate feeling. Alcohol is hidden at first but starts to reveal only just a glimpse when it gets settled.

Poured from big bottle into tulip (getting cork out was a bitch), aggressive pour yielded very little head, no lacing. Hazy dark amberish in the glass, hazy with yeast particles visible. Smells faintly of belgian yeast, some orange liquor type smell going on, combo of orange and alcohol I guess. I am not sure if this has gone to the dark side, but getting more of a orange blossom honey laced malt bomb. Yeast isn't playing any part of this game
