The beer pours a hazy gold color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a light pale and wheat malt scent along with a touch of pepper and lemon zest. It's fruity with a spicy edge. The taste is good as well. It's a light and easy drinking beer; yet it's full of complexity. It has the dry, earthy, peppery character with a bit of lemon. The farmhouse funk is mild and well received. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a low/medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a very good saison. It's true to style without over doing it.

Served in an Allagash fluted glass. (should have poured into a smaller glass. Looks like I cheated myself)
Pours a lightly hazed golden color with a foamy and sudsy white head, along with some patchy and sliding lace.
The first smell reminds me of an evening rain in a dry desert, followed by damp basement. Dry malt, hop flowers, yeast, and a light lemon zest, hint of gin, and whiff of clove all come into play.
The flavors mirror the smells pretty much. A taste of green apples slide forward in the finish.
This is one dry beer. The mouthfeel is slightly raspy at first, but the malt body rolls in late to create a more liquid, gulpable and agreeable swallow.
Nice Saison, but there are local New England varieties of the style that do the trick at less $$.

From the 11.2 fl. oz. bottle stamped 12:58-K31612. Sampled on November 8, 2013.

The pour is a hazy pale yellow with a short-lived fizzy white head that fades to a ring around the tulip glass.

Aromas run the gamut of Belgian pale malts, apple and other light fruits, pepper and coriander spices, lemon zest, and earthy hops.

Medium body.

The taste begins with most of the elements IO picked up on the nose with the exception of a lingering, biting bitterness that pulls up the rear. Generally mellow and easy to drink.

Golden color with a full three finger thick head with great retention.
Sweet aroma with notes of Cointreau, pineapple, Belgian yeast and pine.
Sweet flavor of oranges, booze, hay malt, lemon jelly, flowers, condiments and oats. A very mild funkiness with dry aftertaste.
Medium body with low carbonation with tiny bubbles. Although it is just 6% abv, alcohol is definitely felt but pleasant.
An interesting Saison, although it has some nice complexity, it is very easy to drink.
