On tap at Black Lotus Brewery
World Wide Wheat was served in a pint glass at the Black Lotus Brewery. The body was an unfiltered hazy gold color with a 1-finger white head. The nose picked-up light aromas of banana and cloves. The taste matched the nose with also a bready note added. The hops are barely noticeable. Mouth feel is medium with a light dry edge.
Beer Advocate has classified this beer as an American Pale Wheat Ale while the Brewery states it is a Hefeweizen. World Wide Wheat to me is a Hefeweizen. The Ale seems to check all the boxes of a German Hefeweizen style. The Ale is made with German malts, hops and yeast. W.W.W. has the classic Hefeweizen flavors of; banana, and cloves, however, the Ale is lighter in flavor than the top tier German Hefeweizens. - It is refreshing nonetheless.
