A - Pours a cloudy amber colour with a frothy white head that disappears rather quickly

S - Citrus notes including burnt orange, tangerine, lemon and a hint of grapefruit

T - Citrusy with lemon, tangerine fairly prominent with a slight grainy bitter finish

M - Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation

O - Pretty average for a pale ale. lacks depth in flavour and hoppiness as a good pale ale should have. Fairly bland in comparison to others.

A: Nice rich golden color with a full off-white foamy head. Leaves good lacing as drained.

S: A slight whiff of citrus hops

T: Nicely balances with some malt sweetness background and a fair bitterness bite.

M: Clean, well balanced with no lingering aftertaste.

The best regular offering at this brewpub. On the low end of the Pale Ale style for hop bitterness, but still in style. Well made but not outstanding.

Full Imperial pint, in nice tulip-style glassware...

This beer appears a clear medium amber hue, with one finger of light creamy white head, which leaves a thin wall of lace around the glass in its wake. It smells of caramel and biscuit malt, and mild citrus and earthy hops. The taste is nice soft caramel and bready malt, some lemon, orange citrus, and leafy hops. The carbonation is moderate, the body medium weight and slightly prickly, and it finishes dry, with a lingering hoppiness.

This a decent pale ale, and quite reminiscent of Full Moon Pale Ale, a high compliment from this Alberta tourist.

A: Clear copper-bronze with an off-white head, thin ring of retention, good lace.

S: Light nectarine, tangerine & rind with hints of biscuity malt & caramel.

T: Quality biscuity malt flavour, light orange/citrusy spicing, hint of caramel, good bitterness.

M: Moderate body is VERY smooth. Some quality malt here.

D: Very drinkable.

Growler fills are currently $10.75, with an additional $2 off on Tuesday. Unfortunately the growler is $9! (and they don't take them back).

Aroma: Barely detectable notes of light bread and caramel. No hop aroma. Overall very light on the nose.

Appearance: Light copper bordering on brass with such a light hue. Pours a billowy white head off the tap, which slowly fades to a thin but persistent coating over the top of the beer. Good clarity though it appears to have a slight chill haze.

Flavor: Light bread with hints of kilned melanoiden malt and carmel notes. Earthy hop bitterness is very low. A malt focused Pale, but the malt profile is light and somewhat mottled.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium carbonation with light body. Slightly effervescent on the tongue with a dry clean finish.

Overall: This Pale Ale is very light in all aspects. As a Pale I would expect more of a hop presence with an underlying crisp malt character. This beer sways more toward an Amber Ale with it's color and flavor, but doesn't have the body to effectively represent that style either.

Decent pale ale. Orangey, copper-amber colour with a nice white head. Dense, malty smell with a noticeable hop profile. The hops really show in the flavour, as there is a definite bitterness that nearly overwhelms the malts.

The hops also add a bit of a zestiness to the mouthfeel and this feels like it has a bit too much carbonation.
