Orange-amber in color with a decent sized tan head that leaves behind nice lacing.

Light aroma of swee malt and toasted grain. Very faint.

Sweet malt flavor. Some toastiness, but mostly sugary malt. Alcohol shows up in flavor. Finishes slighlty dry.

Medium-full in body. Smooth and creamywith a lingering stickiness on the tonuge. Decent beer, but too sweet. Could use more roasted/toasted malt flavors and a bigger dose of hops.

Pours a hazy, almost mirky, orangish-amber with a thin head that immediately disappears (same as when I had it two nights ago on tap.)

The smell is of toasted grain with a hint of sweetness. The smell is light - almost unnoticeable at first. Nothing inoffensive, but weak.

Some sweet malt, though not as much as is typical of style. Roasted grains predominate. Some alcohol notes come through. It's quite an earthy O-fest. Just enough malt sweetness to keep it from missing the mark.

A medium body holds up pretty well in the mouth. It's fairly smooth, yet something leaning towards astringency in it.

It's pretty much the same from the growler than when I recently had it on tap. Not quite as smooth/drinkable as I would expect in the style. Seems to be lacking something I can't quite put my finger on...Maybe needs more malt? Maybe longer lagering? Alcohol not masked as much as it could be? Not quite sure, but doesn't live up to its potential.
Still, worth having if you are there and in the mood for the style, but not worth seeking out, IMO, and currently they have better offerings.
