Had on tap at JJ Bitting, poured a yellow golden color with a thin white head that dissipated quickly. Had a somehwat bitter smell, pretty watery body with not too much complexity, fairly malty finish that had a bitter aftertaste, Only better than some of the mainstream stuff.

J.J. Bitting- Victoria's Golden Ale

Appearance- Light yellow almost cear with a huge soapy white foamy head.
Smell- Sweet corn and grain.
Taste- Sweet, yet crisp almost a lemony zest to it.
Mouthfeel- Clean and refreshing. Washs the palatte off.

Overall- The lightest of the beers I had at Bitting's. Good for just 1 on a lunch break from work or to wash down a meal.

Poured a medium straw hue with a one and a half finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a light diacytl, soft malts and a grassy hop.

The taste consisted of a light biscuity malt, an earthy hop and some diactyl flavor.

The mouthfeel was average for the style.

Overall a good example of the style which should be English Golden Ale.

Pale golden color with a nice head and decent lace. This brew is made from a blend of pale malt and wheat blend with a hint of mixed German hops. Nice, light crisp aroma. Tastes great, the blend makes it light yet flavorfull, and the hops balance nicely. Finishes slightly dry with a touch of citrus. Goes great with the food.

Poured solid yellow with a very thin - but fairly well-retained white lace.
The smell was of soft fruitiness.
The taste was fairly thin and a bit too watery. It was malty with hints of fruity hops. (I was going to score it a bit lower, but considering its style and purpose - assuming its for the lighter beer drinkers, I gave it the benefit of the doubt because there was nothing bad tasting in it.)
Some of the tastes were washed out, but it was clean, soft and refreshing.
It goes down easily - drinkable, but a bit too thin and for me.

On tap at the J.J. Bitting Brew Pub.

Poured a light and see through straw color with a small sized white head. Aromas and tastes of light grass with very light malts. I found the body to be on the thin and somewhat watery side.

The first beer I had from the sampler. Nothing very unique, just a well-balanced beer. Just a light gold colored ale. I could stand to have quite a few of these, without the getting offended by the taste. This one was kind of lost in the shuffle of the other more impressive offerings at J.J. Bittings.

Pale malt and wheat blend and a hint of mixed German Hops. Nice color for fall, nice color for, summer, as well as those other two seasons. Good smell, light and crisp. A friend of mine drinks this like it is going out of style. I quote him, " This is what the forefathers of A-B must have had in mind when they started."

Served as part of a sampler tray at their restaurant. All of their beers on the sampler looked delicious. This one was a pale and clear golden color. Beautifully rich and creamy head topped this one off. The aroma is sweet with a touch of honey and full of soft and sweet grains. The taste is somewhat honey sweet and tangy. Clean, pleasant and very much drinkable. Finishes with a slightly lemony hop tang.

Enjoyed at the brewpub.
Served as a pale amber beer with moderate white head.
Smell is very light, with a touch of floral hops.
Taste is also very light with a mild fruity sweetness.
Finishes very light and refreshing.
A nice rfreshing beer that is very middle of the road. Paired well with my food without interfering. Nice session beer.

Pours a slightly hazed gold. Thin white head. Nose is thin grain tones. Flavor is unusual I would have to say. Almost an apple kind of tone to it. Smooth liquid feel. A slightly vibrant carbonation. Super easy to drink, but nothing special. I'm sure it's purpose is to be more an easy drinker than a palate roller coaster ride.

The slightly cloudy straw yellow isn't quite golden, nor is the sweet malt and floral note in the nose that strong. No carbonation up front, very smooth, sweet with a slight corn graininess more evident after the crisp lemony finish. Meant to be a session beer, it accomplishes that goal with a refreshing lightness. Pairs well with the food by virtue of its lack of assertion, and certainly washes it down. Took a growler home.

It pours a pale gold. The aroma is faintly hoppy. The body is light and grainy with some wheat twang and a crisp bitterness in the finish. It is just an average beer. A good way to get your palate ready to taste more beers and to stimulate the appetite.

Pours a light golden color with medium effervescence. Has a thin and bubbly white head and quick lacing. Grassy and hoppy aroma. Light-bodied with wheat and hops flavors. I guess every brewpub needs something on the light end and this is as good as anything of the sort you can find.
