The main appeal of this place is that it's open 24/7, and that it has craft beer at all. The selection available isn't going to knock the socks off of your average beer advocate but they carry enough brew to get the job done. Chimay, Rogue, Ommegang and Sam Smith offerings have always been there every time I've been there. Sierra Nevada, Flying Dog, Allagash, Lagunitas and Smuttynose frequently grace the fridge.
Prices are higher than average, relative to what you'll pay at beverage distributors, but you do pay a premium on places that are open 24/7, and with that in mind, the prices aren't too bad ($6-7 bombers and many $10 six packs).
Where this place can be price friendly is with weekly or monthly specials... however they arrange that. Seasonal six packs often go for six or seven dollars which is downright cheap for the neighborhood; $6.99 for Sierra Celebration is plenty good as far as I'm concerned.
For a place that doesn't need to carry craft beer in order to stay in business they've got a pretty solid selection. When in the area, it's definately worth stopping by to see what they've got on the shelves, as turnover is one of the areas where the St. Marks Market earns high marks for... no pun intended.

This isn't the best place for beer in NYC, but it's decent, and open 24 hours, which is a handy feature. Carries a decent selection of bombers and a pretty good-sized selection of 6packs. Things are a bit overpriced, but they have specials all the time on a select 6pack or two. Flying Dog is often on sale for 6 or 7 bucks, which isn't bad at all. Service here sucks- it's a market, after all, and most of the employees there stay behind the register. But things always ring up right and they're friendly enough. Though there's a much better beer place two blocks away that is also 24 hours (can't recall the name...) this isn't a shabby place for some 6ers.
