Excellent fall beer. Too much hops lately for a fall beer. To the IPA and Pale ale person such as myself it is not an issue.

10/17/12 On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. Great body. Creamy. Balanced. All that good stuff, but I need to keep looking. Obsessed by the quest.

Bottle > Mason Pint

A - Hazed orange with a finger of soapy white head, nice lattice of lacing.
S - Some sweet malt, resinous pine, a little floral, a touch of orange zest
T - Taste is a little lacing, orange and grapefruit caramel and candy like malt, slightly piney with a nice hop portion.
M - Watery, slightly metallic aftertaste.
O - Decent amber, I was pleased with this, doesnt strike me as a fall beer, but Its complex enough. If canned it would make an excellent session beer.

A- big creamy rich light tan head poured over a very murky amber body. Even though it was poured down the side of a pint glass, I had to hold the pour halfway through to prevent the foam from overflowing. head lasted a few min but didn't create any lacing. slight bubbling lasted throughout the evaluation

S- very hoppy aroma with some malty notes..very nice

T- strong hoppy flavor followed quickly by an acidic taste followed by a dull malty taste. not unpleasant

M- a light, crisp feel that quickly fades to a heavy, malty feel on the tongue

O- I had to re-check the beer style because I couldn't believe this wasn't an IPA. This is a really good IPA even though they consider it an amber. would have liked it more had the heavy, malt mouthfeel not been present

Poured into a tall pint glass, color is copper, head is light tan and exploded out of the glass, hard to tell if its the carbonation or a bottling issue.

Smell is super hoppy for a beer this size, big citrus, light pine, light toasted and caramel malts noted.

Taste is also very hoppy for a brew at below 5% abv, hard to believe because the malt flavors are pretty decent as well, its not thin or watery; hops are citrus, grapefruit prominent, light pine; malt is surprisingly present in this brew, solid toast and caramel noted, hops really take over the sweetness.

Mouthfeel is pretty solid, a little biting from some over-carbonation and strong hop flavors.

Overall, a surprisingly flavorful lighter ale, great hop presence and solid malt flavors. happy festivus

Aroma is quite hoppy and woody, rather like an IPA, with a nice undertone of - yep - autumn leaves, as well as a subtle note of yeast. Pours a hazy amber with an extremely thick, fine-bubbled, persistent pale creamy-tan head. Sharp flavor is quite hoppy, more at an IPA, quite bitter but not fiercely so, with a nice dry-leaf undertone and malty and honey hints. Quite tasty! Smooth texture has average body and good fizz. This ’un will have you singing "Autumn Leaves."

On draft at Tap and Barrel, Smithtown, NY.

Poured a medium copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and very good sticky lacing

The smell featured a light grainy malt with an herbal tea like hop.

The taste consisted of an upfront herbal hop punch with a balancing soft caramel malt.

The mouthfeel was clean and dry.

Overall a very tasty hop forward fall treat.
