Nice golden-straw like color. Poured an amazingly vibrant, fluffy white head which reduced to a clingy lace around the perimeter of my glass.
Aroma has hints of honey, slightly earthy with a floral essence.
Taste is grainy, with vegetable notes, subtly sweet notes like corn on the cob.
Relatively light bodied, crisp and refreshing beer that finishes crisp while it's cold, but became tiny bit winy at the finish as it warmed up.

Thanks to KMitch for lugging a growler of this one back home to share. We cracked the top, pouring a brew of pale gold into flared Heineken pils glasses. It held a brief half finger tall head of crisp white bubbles before fading into spotted lacing and a sticky film across the top of the beer. Absolutely no haze or sediment was found to obscure the crystal clarity of the beer, and carbonation appeared to be light. The aroma gave huge bitterness of soaps and suds, with independent grassy hop essence, pale and chalky adjuncts, spongy plastics, dried raspberry fruitiness, white sugar, and simple baker’s yeastiness. Our first impression was that there was nice toasty malt flavoring which was pleasantly crisp and refreshing for the weary traveler. As we sipped, this simple brew began with starchy pale and pilsner maltiness, lemon rind, grassy and softly soapy hoppiness, musk, coin, and twiggy resins. The middle came to a peak with lemon balm, toasted corn, white and wheat flours, continued adjuncty metallics, and soft lemony bite. The end came with peppery booze, gingerbread warmth, aluminum, strong dry yeastiness, cooked caramel sweetness, sea salt, and bitter, muddy earthiness. The aftertaste breathed of white sugar, toasty pales, roasted figs, waxed paper, celery, sesame seeds, soapy hops, white flour, and green and dried grassiness. The body was light to medium in fullness, and equally as light on the carbonation. Each sip showed poor cream or frothiness, but decent slurp and flow to the glug. Finishing pop was crisp. The mouth was left wet, with eventual bone dry astringency streaking across the hard palate and tongue. The abv was easy, and the beer drank as light as any in its class.
Overall, what we liked best about this beer was its simplicity, and its nice, crisp drinkability. This guy is a surprisingly invigorating hybrid of craft and macro, and we can see how aspects of this would be appealing to both crowds of drinkers. There has actually been a big push for this kind of thing lately, at least in Michigan where we are currently holed up, with breweries like Shorts. It is actually an interesting, almost full-circle transition we are witnessing before our eyes. This is the kind of beer that, if produced and labeled by a BMC, would be considered subpar, but since its coming from the smalltime, and with perhaps a more interesting or robust use of hops, or some random ingredient, we enjoy it with much less conviction. Observational diatribe over. Despite the enhancing bitterness of this beer with warmth, and its dimming appeal, it goes down smoothly enough and can be enjoyed.
