This beer was recommended to me by Stacey Blacker from Red White And Brew in Mount Holly NJ . I have previously tried Cricket Hill's East Coast Lager which I also reviewed. This is my second Cricket Hill and dare I say I really like it and will for sure buy it again .

Pours a crisp clear copper, nice off white head while it lasts.

On the nose it's orange rind, some grassy hops, a sweet candy sugar. Generally very inviting.

Lots of punch up front. Grassy hop bitterness, sugar, and citrus, finishes clean with a hint of lingering bitterness.

Not heavy at all, clean and refreshing, it will probably end up a standard session with me for now on.

Being an APA fan and from NJ, I really want to like this beer, but tasted against Dales Pale Ale and Terrapin Rye Ale, it falls short, even tho it looks really good.

A: Pours super hazed apricot/copper with a massive, energetic sand colored head that lasts, turns into steep islands of foam, and laces the glass. Looks great, but sinks to average from there.

S: A decent blend of citrus hops & a bready malts, but there's a Hackensack background, kind of old rail road ties over fall salt marsh.

T: Follows smell, starts bready, with floral & citric hops, then complex additions of brown sugar, grass, and apricot. Finishes with that Meadowlands stink, not bad, just lingering and weaving between tar and decay and salt march, salt water.

MF: Makes for a complex brew that is medium bodied with medium carbonation. However, not making me go for more...

Single picked up in a six mixer, and poured into a pint glass.

Pours medium copper, penny colored. Good head of foam rings around. Bready malt nose, much toffee. Taste is a sweet caramel with a nice hop in the back. Quite bready. Light pine in the background. Really good.

A: The beer is hazy amber orange in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high off white head that has good retention properties and only died down a little, also leaving lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose along with notes of caramel malts.
T: Compared to the smell, the taste is maltier having flavors of caramel and pale malts along with notes of citrusy hops and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and has a good balance between the malts and hops, but none of the aromas or flavors really stands out as being interesting.

A - Beautiful burnt orange with some amber. Two plus fingers of a creamy white head. Slightest haze to it. Low carbonation coming through.

S - Sweet malt on the nose, followed by light hoppy/earthy tones. Grassy as well. Very mellow, but complex all at once.

T - Starts with sweet malt, but almost as quickly it changes to a beautiful hop bite. The lingering taste on the palate is perfectly balanced. I get some caramel coming through as well.

M - Buttery quality, very smooth. Drinkable as anything. The slight bitter aftertaste is spot on.

O - I love this beer, it almost confuses me as to why I do! The drinkability, smoothness, look, butteryness, and hoppiness all combine for an awesome brew.
