12oz can from a 6-pack purchased at Total Wine in Spokane Valley for $7.99. No freshness date on the can. I initially couldn't find it on BA until I went to the page for Dick's Brewing, and saw it listed as 12 Man. I thought it was called 12th Man, but I expect that was nixed due to copyright issues.

Poured a hazy gold color, with a half-inch of beige foam perched on top. Said head dropped after a couple of minutes to a thin skiff, leaving spotty lace on the sides of a Sierra Nevada shaker-style pint glass.

Mostly malty in the nose, with a modest, floral hop scent.

The taste was pretty much like the nose. It’s an easy drinking, malty pale ale with minimal hop flavor. The hops don’t really even become noticeable until about the middle of the taste.

Carbonation is a little too low for this beer’s own good. Medium bodied, with a slightly heavy mouthfeel.

I really wish I knew how long ago this was canned. It’s possible its imperfections were due to an excessive period of sitting on its ass on a shelf in a warehouse somewhere. While drinkable in the way that all bland beers are drinkable, for now it joins the 12th Can as a beer that is essential only if you are a Seahawk fan, but not worth seeking out otherwise.

12oz can, part of 12 packs sold hereabouts. Go team, rah?

This beer pours a slightly hazy, yet bright medium golden amber hue, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly bone-white head, which leaves some random crooked swaths of sudsy lace around the glass as it steadily abates.

It smells of grainy, crackery pale malt, muddled apple and pear skin, edgy yeast, and leafy, earthy, and mildly citrusy hops. The taste is semi-sweet bready and slightly doughy pale malt, a touch of caramel, and more mixed orchard fruity notes - apple, apricot, and white grape - with a soft earthy, weedy, and floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly active, via its moderate frothiness, the body an adequate medium weight, and generally smooth, the hops not in it to win it. It finishes off-dry, the doughy malt starting to thoroughly throw its weight around.

A so-so version of the style, no off-flavours, really, but not enough hop oomph to engender in me the desire for another. Pound-worthy, I'm sure, during the high and low moments of the game, if that's your thing.

A: Light orange. Thin head. Slightly hazy. Small pieces of grain found suspended in beer.
S: Not much aroma.
T: Medium maltiness. Medium-low bitterness. Faint grapefruit hoppiness.
M: Medium carbonation. Medium body.
O: Typical pale ale. Not much that stands out. Not bad, not superior. Just ok. Drinkable for sure.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Mild aroma of sweet bready malt and a hint of grassy hops. Flavor is lightly sweet bready malt, light citrus and a light citrus and grassy hop finish. Light bodied. A light ale that seems brewed for the adjunct lager drinker, although this has a more interesting hop component, but overall mild and bland for an APA. Tastes good for what it is, a light session beer for football, but probably not a quick repeat for me.

Clear amber color with a brief, coarse foam in the Gulpener tulip. Some fizz on the tongue. At least it doesn't have the club sods taste, but it needs something. Very light hop aroma with some flowery notes.

Some malty flavors, a slight sweetness, but mostly crisp. There is a pleasant malty cereal taste, light as it is, more like a Blonde ale than a Pale. A shimmer of hops with some resiny tang. Not much bitterness, except the aftertaste as the other subtle flavors fade.

While there is not any excitement here, it's a drinkable and nicely flavored brew at a lower alcohol level. More professional carbonation would improve the experience for such a light beer. From the 12 oz can purchased at Special Brews in Lynnwood, Washington.

Poured from 12oz can into a pint glass. I drank a ton of this during the postseason; I hope it's not getting unfairly savaged due to its suggested team affiliation. Go Hawks!

Appearance: medium golden hue with a very light touch of haze and a strong effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy ivory foam with decent retention. Pretty damn good!

Smell: aroma is quite light; it's grainy, toasty and yeasty, almost like a craft lager. Good, but not a whole lot going on.

Taste: sweet, grainy and ever so slightly toasty. Hops are light in intensity and citrusy and piney in character. It reminds me a more of an English style than American, really. It's decent, but not outstanding; I want to like it more than I do.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and a great creaminess for the style. Kudos!

Overall: this is definitely my favorite of the local beers with a 12th Man theme (see: Hilliard's 12th Can). It's not well-tuned to my palate, but it's a competently put-together beer with great drinkability.

I bought a 12-pack of 12 Man at a grocery store. Poured in to an old school Seahawk mug.

Pours a pale gold color, chill haze with a foamy white head.

Smell is a bread aroma, a hint of yeast, with a little cider aroma.

Taste is a lot like the small, a cereal flavor, with a faint cider taste and very mild bitterness. Hops are not a selling point for this brew.

Mouthfeel is thin and a little watery.

Overall better than I thought it would be. It's an inoffensive pale ale, which won't turn off the macro-lager drinkers who try it for the marketing gimmick.

Had this a couple times now, most of the time out of the can. But for reviewing's sake, I poured this one into a pint glass.
The appearance was a light orange with a thin white head. Light lacing came in and trickled around the glass.
The smell had a bitter citrus.
The taste was bitter citrus with the same aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was dry and bitter.
Overall, decent pale ale, nothing special but as a Seahawks fan, I wouldn't want to tailgate with this. I'd rather drink something from the other team to remind me what I'm pissing out.
