12 oz bottle into a pilsner - fridge - brewed in 2009
Appearance: Holy foam, Batman. The beer pours entirely as foam and is creating beer as I type. Kind of a role reversal, huh? Transparent, garnet/orange hue with a towering ivory head. Plenty of coating lace swallows up the crystal from the inside of the vessel. Interesting experience. It might take 30 minutes just to drink the contents of the bottle.
Smell: Sweet bubble gum is an odd aroma, mild toasted barley aroma, Cheerios. Not a hop leaf in olfactory distance.
Taste: Barley, grass, brown sugar, some hop bite. Pretty mild and flavorless. Lingering coffee-like bitterness.
Mouthfeel: This is a watery, poorly constructed beer that has very little mouthfeel or flavor. Some alcohol presence, but otherwise, the heavy carbonation must have taken all the character of the beer with it.
Drinkability: I don't feel like this is a good beer. It is weak in aroma, flavor and especially mouthfeel. I've had many better homebrewed beers that would easily defeat it.

Licorice with beer overtones. I was trying something new & supporting a local, so had no expectations. I found it refreshing, but hard to put in even a general category. Taste was closer to a black shan:dy than brown ale. Head was more than a typ. good ale. Light smell & light feel. Real interesting, refreshing if hot & humid.
