Great name.

Orange clear Amber body and small head. Some lace. Minimal retention.

Huge whisky like malt in the nose. Diacetyl hints. Orange rind and toasted muesli.

Sweetish and thin malt up front. A good smack of bittering hops drys it out quickly. Very dry. More diacetyl. Maybe 2 days old. Not bad. A decent drinking bitter.

Thin and a touch astringent. Quite drinkable. An average and pleasantly drinkable example of the style.

This was served to me fresh from the cask in a traditional pint glass. The color is a very clear brown, almost like tea. The aroma is sweet but not overpowering - almost too light. The taste is smooth and clean but nothing in particular stands out. It has a slight bitter hop aftertaste but is more light and doesn't particularly linger. You could probably drink this all day - it is refreshing but does not stand out. Overall, it is a pretty decent beer (much better than a macrobrew) and real ales are always pretty great, but I wouldn't really go out of my way except to add another entry to the beer journal.
