Having Julio's situated in Westboro may not be as odd as Ebenezer's Pub being in Lovell, Maine, but it's pretty darn close. One of those things that makes you scratch your head a few times... before you take another sip of gueuze and call your ex-girlfriend to tell her how unappealing she becomes when she drinks Smirnoff Ice.
Just recently made my first trip to Julio's, which in truth is conveniently located near the intersection of I-90 and I-495, out in the burbs. The selection here is the best in New England, with the most Belgian bottles I've ever seen in one location (and no, I have not been to Belgium). They sell singles of just about everything so you can mix-a-six at a discounted price, which I like. The premium beers come with a premium price tag, but if you know that in advance, you don't mind as much when the bill is tallied.
I roamed the beer isles for an hour before finally resigning myself to a budget and picking my bottles. To maximize my budget I went with quantity of bottles over rarity of the beer. Grabbed 21 unique bottles but could have easily snagged 50 that are on my wish list. The assistant beer manager answered all my questions - very helpful guy. The only downer: it's September, so no Bourbon County, no KBS. Another visit this winter will have to be arranged :)

Visited here after learning I had some family living relatively close by... was looking to pick up some locals as well as anything else that might catch my eye.
I didn't really peruse the rest of the sections of the store, just the beer. First spot I encountered was what seemed to be an elbow of newer releases / rarer bombers. Nice selection of stuff there, about on point with the market average pricing (at least compared to my home state of PA). There was a wall of 'locals' bombers, which was great for a guy like me, saved time sifting through the other aisles with a checklist! I found a good majority of what I had on my "to search for" list, and also browsed the coolers and other rows.
Overall, a good experience and I'll definitely pop back in on my future visits to MA!
My composite score is down a bit only because I didn't have any 'service'- no one asked me if they could help with anything- this was no problem, because I was happy just to browse, but that's why the rating is hovering around okay.

Large store with a great selection. They get all the limited release beers but you have to get there quick because they are very busy and popular. Knowledgable and helpful staff. The prices are a bit higher than other stores but their selection is unmatched. If it wasn't an hour drive for me I would be a fixture in the store.
