stopped here on a BA recommendation while on a trip to boston. tried on my way into town on thanksgiving, but the store was closed. the wife gave the thumbs up for a saturday trip in the AM when she saw the abundant shopping available in the center (big bonus for fellas looking to pull in a big haul without the wife watching over all the bottles going into the cart.
quality was top notch. i didn't wast any time looking in the other 75% of the store filled to the brim with wine and liquor. i'm sure i could've blown my beer budget without buying one beer had i ventured into the single malt scotch or bourbon section...but onto the beer. the far end of the store is a few isles with just beer. you've got 6'ers, cases, bombers, cold or room temp...and yes, you can buy singles here. pretty much everything had a price on the shelf...at least as good as a target or walmart (ya know, there's always a few things on the shelf with no associated price in sight).
as for service...gotta give props. i mentioned that i was from new york and was curious what i could get here that i couldn't in my home state and the onslaught of suggestions was so good it even got annoying after a while (lol). i was pretty pumped to be able to pick up quite a few different bottles of lost abbey (including some of the barrel aged brews). also was surprised to see plenty of 2009 bcbs on the shelves (saw this in another shop in boston too). there are only a few shops i've been to that had better selection, but gotta give the 5 there since they seemed to get everything, although it is a highly shopped spot so when i asked about the BCBVS i was told it came in and sold out this past tuesday...no surprise...but they did get it, so it would've been there had i gotten there sooner.
prices seemed pretty in line with what i was used to in NY if not a bit cheaper. i had heard that this was the top spot in new england and let me tell you, i had no issues blowing my entire budget and had to hold back to not exceed it. that and i only bought one bottle of everything i saw.
the best part of all was when i was checking out, i learned that it was 15% off today (maybe for holiday shoppers?)...so that gave me the opportunity to run back and grab "one more bottle" a few times before sliding the ol' credit card.

Visited here after learning I had some family living relatively close by... was looking to pick up some locals as well as anything else that might catch my eye.
I didn't really peruse the rest of the sections of the store, just the beer. First spot I encountered was what seemed to be an elbow of newer releases / rarer bombers. Nice selection of stuff there, about on point with the market average pricing (at least compared to my home state of PA). There was a wall of 'locals' bombers, which was great for a guy like me, saved time sifting through the other aisles with a checklist! I found a good majority of what I had on my "to search for" list, and also browsed the coolers and other rows.
Overall, a good experience and I'll definitely pop back in on my future visits to MA!
My composite score is down a bit only because I didn't have any 'service'- no one asked me if they could help with anything- this was no problem, because I was happy just to browse, but that's why the rating is hovering around okay.

Large store with a great selection. They get all the limited release beers but you have to get there quick because they are very busy and popular. Knowledgable and helpful staff. The prices are a bit higher than other stores but their selection is unmatched. If it wasn't an hour drive for me I would be a fixture in the store.

Amazing selection! Its like a candy store for adults. Great Selection of local and Belgium beers. Tim and Chris are very knowledgeable and nice people. Whatever beer gets distributed in Mass, most likely this store picks it up. A must visit for people in New England...
