Julio's is located right on route 9 in Westborough. (It's the very first plaza on your left after you get off 495). Essentiality it's your classic big warehouse type liquor store, but with class. Beer is located on the right side of the store with about 4 aisles, and a whole wall of coolers dedicated to beer. Full aisle of Belgians, Germans, American Crafts and several of mixed 6 packs. Not to mention stacks of cases with lots of beer gift packs

As for the Beer selection, it's excellent, right up there as one of the top 3 best liquor stores for beer in the state. The full assortment of everything. American craft, micro, macro, Belgian, German, English, Swedish, Finish, etc, etc. Basically if they import it and it's available in MA, they probably have it.
.
Not only does beer need to be mentioned, they also have an amazing assortment of wine, liquor, hot sauce, cigars, glassware and other goodies. The wine tasting area, where you can taste for free an assortment of wines, is simply amazing.

What really makes Julio's stand out is it's customer service and actual attention it gives to it beer customers. A lot of places have the one beer guy who know's his stuff and stocks decent beer, but Julio's is one step above. Six packs just routinely come with a free glass, the weekly beer tastings, the wild-six program that gets you free stuff, as well as nice 15% discount if you buy more than 6 beers which makes this probably the cheapest liquor store in the state, not to mention the amazing Julio's only one off beer with Berkshire. It's as if they really truly care about us beer nerds. It's as if the whole staff is on-board with quality brew. I like that.

What more can I say. The American beer selection is a tiny bit lacking compared to Marty's or Downtown Wine & Spirits in Boston, but... whatever. The other day I went in and Double Bastard was $6.49 a bottle. With the 15% discount that's $5.51 a bottle. $5.51 for Double Bastard, plus quality service, and maybe a free glass and T-shirt thrown in. Do you need another reason to come here? (2,069 characters)

Yesterday was the second time I visited, and I spent a considerable amount of time browsing. I ended up leaving with a few beers that I hadn't seen much of in Western Mass too much: Logsdon and Jolly Pumpkin.

The staff seemed pretty knowledgable and were willing to offer suggestions and information about some of the newer brews they had in stock (one of which was Kung Fu Hobo from Smuttlabs), which I added to the mix six. Speaking of the mix six, as soon as you hit the 6 beer or more mark (any size... bomber, 750, 12 ounce bottle, etc), you automatically receive 15% off each beer. So if you were in there looking for something that only comes out once a year, or is pricey, that could be a good way to save some money. The best part is that the mix six doesn't all have to be the same size. Theoretically, you could buy 5 really cheap beers and one really expensive beer and still get the discount.

The organization of store could be a little better, but once you do a walk through, you can kind of see why certain beers are placed where they are; however, I have seen it done much better (Table and Vine of West Springfield for example).

Overall, it's a place that is definitely worth stopping if you are in the area in search of "good" beer. (1,262 characters)
