Surprisingly firm malty foundation. Nice nose of barley malt. Tasty hint of caramel. A light malty lager. Touch of hops in the aftertaste but not much bitterness, as you'd expect. Tastes great served cold in a big pilsner glass.

I don't think I've had a better Blonde. I have to give it high marks for the style, which doesn't provide much competition. But whatever you call it, this is a really nice light beer. On tap at Leroy's in Coronado.

This is my favorite with sushi. I ordered at the fish joint in Oceanside. Great companion to food, and I always have more than one. It just goes down so good. Deep golden color, not too clear, with great malt balance. Perfect malt balance makes this the "type" for blonde.

On Tap at The Counter Burger Del Mar

It pours a light brown color, a little darker than other blondes. It has a small white head that held almost all the way.
The smell was a nice sweet smell with a little hoppy smell.
It is a light bodied beer.

The taste is amazing. I usually dont love a light bodied beer but this one just had a different taste. It does not taste like it had been diluted with water. It actually has a nice smooth taste and it leaves like a sweet honey taste to it at the end, and it it lager like.

I do recommend it.

On tap at La Jolla Strip Club, San Diego.

Pours a dull, very hazy brownish orange color. Slightly rocky off-white head lasts for a short while, and then turns to a film which leaves a bit of lacing. Mild aroma with hints of citrus. Tastes mostly of orange and wheat. Slight mild bitterness at the finish. There's a hint of butter in the flavor after a while, but not too much. Medium bodied and generally smooth, with mild carbonation. Not what I'd expect for this type of beer - more like a blonde meets an unfiltered wheat beer. Decent, but not worth getting again. One is enough for this one.

On-tap at Oceanside Ale Works

A: The pour is a pale golden amber color with a very minimal white head and a touch of haze.

S: There is a fair amount of diacetyl here which really ruins any beer. A very buttered popcorn-like aroma with a touch of butterscotch.

T: The buttery character carries over to the flavor as well, unfortunately. Though a bit more of the bready malts come through to provide some sweetness, the buttered popcorn descriptor remains true.

M: A light bodied beer as you might expect from a blonde ale. The carbonation is somewhat soft, though plentiful.

D: I'm not the biggest fan of blondes (though there are some good ones), but this one was particularly un-enjoyable.
