Not far off the main square and on the upscale end of the spectrum, but not uncomfortable, it has a certain "fancy" feel and that shows in some of the prices. But all that is worth while when you look behind the bar. Huge selection of bottles, just about every Trappist beer (I didn't see Westy, but I didn't ask) and 4 or 5 taps going. Every beer I got was in good condition and properly served. Our service was fair and we (Bierschenker and I) had the rabbit which was Really good.
The background noise was American 80s pop music, which seems to be everywhere in Belgium, and there were a few HDTV flat screens that were thankfully off. As mention, smokers, but Europeans just seem to be that way. There were some older ladies at the bar that seemed to get just hammered, it was kind of funny.
Worth a stop, you'll get a good selection and some good food, but you'll pay a bit for it. I'd go back.

Yea, solid selection. But no clue why this is rated so highly. Had Fou Fone and other Cantillon on the menu (only €11.75 for Fou) but only Kriek and Rose actually in stock. Westy Blond and 8 also on menu and out of stock. Poor service overall. Food was below Chili’s level. Very disappointed. While for an American, drinking 2 Cantillons and a Westy 12 with lunch is awesome, these are all over the local shop shelves and there were no other things nice about this place. Stop in I guess, but better places to eat with a fine beer selection everywhere. Seriously this place is a major tourist trap ambiance.

We ended up at Cambrinus just as the late dinner crowd was thinning, and seating was available. This place is one of the best beer bars in the city and the beer menu is a huge two inch thick beast with wooden covers! It took us quite some time to narrow down our options while faced with a seemingly endless amount to choose from. I ended up ordering a tart and wonderful Cantillon Rose de Gambrinus, also sharing a Girardin Framboise and Rodenbach Vintage 2011 with our group. We did not eat there this time, but last trip we found the local Flemish fare to be wonderful and often included beer in the preparation. We finished by splitting a Pannepot strong ale from nearby brewers De Struise.

The place is usually packed, warm, and loud, but one of the best beer destinations in Bruges for sure.

Visited April 2, 2014. Nice size rest/brewery with a clean modern take on a belgian bierhouse. Menu very extensive ordered beer sausage cheese platter, a goat cheese and bacon salad, onion soup and tbone for 2 with cambrinus house sauce. Service was on point and very accomodating. Temperature was slightly hot so my heat sensitive sis made us move to a table in the back but was not a problem hence forth. The cambrinus logo looks like the drunk santa klaus ive imagined since childhood. Waitress was on top of her game as far as service goes but her knowlege of beer could have been better. All in all it was a great atmosphere with an extensive menu of food and beer and I would return upon my next visit to Brugge.

A great beer bar and restaurant with an outstanding beer list and great atmosphere. The food is pricy but good. We had the cannelloni with spinach, meat an boursin cheese one night. And then my wife had the Irish rib eye and I had the brewer's special the second night. It was all very good. They can be busy and seem preoccupied with coordinating their tables and reservations but the service was still good. I recommend reservations, even in the off season. This is a great place if you love good Belgian beer.

Located just a bit north (though the streets of Brugge have that Brussel-esque confusing feel) a few doors down from the (grossly overpriced) Bier Temple, BB Cambrinus is a must stop destination for the traveling BA.

Certainly a beer-themed restaurant, very small bar area only 5 stools. One of the most impressive beer lists outside Delirium Cafe I've seen so far this trip (haven't been to Kulminator yet) and the prices were, as the Belgians say, democratic. I started with the Zot on tap and had several other bottles, a really impressive beer (book) list.

The service at the bar was top notch, too Amazonian-ladies (both taller than me) who were quick to bring my beer, ask if everything was alright, etc. No complaints.

I ate their twice, once a Flemish onion soup, quite tasty, really hot, served in a little La Crueset crock, the ubiquitous floating cheese/bread 'thing' on top. Not the best onion soup I've had this trip (that would be Drie Fonteinen). Met up with some American and British folks for a late night snack, the usual meat/cheese/etc plate. I need to go back and sample the beer-infused menu, especially looking forward to the rabbit. My understanding is this is one of the best beer restaurants in Belgium, but having been to De Heeren von Liederkercke, it's a long ways down to 2nd place after that superlative experience.

The prices were a bit on the high side, many of the dishes had recently seen a 1 Euro price increase, indicated by the pen marks over the 'old' prices. Might be time for a new menu.

Other than going to see Miss Daisy (and she wasn't in, sadly), BBC should be at the top of the traveling beer afficionados list of places to visit in Brugge. Just don't stuff yourself on 3-4 euro waffles beforehand.
