Rivertowne Pub and Grille....lists Irwin as the address but in reality is actually closer to North Huntingdon. Stopped for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. This is one of the sister locations of the Rivertowne chain restaurants so you can expect some Rivertowne and Full Pint brewing beers to be on tap.
Atmosphere: Bar area to left upon entering and dining room to rear of building. Bar is sort of U-shaped that seats maybe 20. Dining tables scattered around bar. Comfortable bar area and could easily be a regular if this was close by. There is also an outside area to right of building where you can eat and/or drink. Curiously, for a place this size the bathrooms are about as big as airplane restrooms.
Selection/Quality: around 20 taps with mostly Micro beers along with a few standby Macros. On tap were some very good choices including Full Pint Rye Stout and my favorite "Ole Wylies IPA". Other taps were Bell's Java Stout, Ithaca Cold Front, Troegs NN and many other good choices. Freshness not an issue and beer served in tall pint glasses. Since we are mug members at the Rivertowne Brewpub in Monroeville, we got to use guest mugs. They also fill growlers and have a very nice bottle selection.
Food: menu is the same as the other Rivertowne locations. Food is typical bar grub but it is done quite well. We happen to be there during happy hour (Saturday's 2-4pm) and appetizers were half off as well as dollar off Pints. Pizza is always a good choice.
Service: service was good, no complaints. Barkeeps offered samples of anything we wanted which is always a big plus.
Overall: I like this location better than the Monroeville brewpub mostly because the atmosphere feels more comfortable. Good value and good beers.

Very good selection of beers over 20 beers on tap and they change it up almost every week. Looks alot smaller than it really is so if the parking lot looks full and you might go to another place just stop in, it is big inside with 3 different seating areas.
Food is very good, appetizers are half off during happy hour. They have specials during almost every major Pittsburgh sporting game, and not just on regular beers. Magic Hat #9 during Pens games are $2 bottles and $3 drafts.
This is my new favortie spot can't wait to visit the other 2 places.
