Appearance This is a very pretty radiant but cloudy brown in color with a big, quickly-rising head. The foam is a darkish white and goes perfectly with the beautiful liquid color.
Smell This is the real deal. The dark, doughy yeast reminds me of the years I lived in Germany consuming large quantities of Dunkles Weizen. I just love the heavily-toasted malt aroma and the rich, German yeast.
Taste The wonderful yeast from the nose finds itself to the taste. Theres a small hint of banana but otherwise the flavors mirror the aroma.
Mouthfeel This is light-bodied but filling with a classic fluffy mouthfeel and a mild, lingering fruity sweetness.
Drinkability I had no problem emptying my Weihenstephaner glass.

Pours opaque brown with a thick, foamy, rocky off-white head. Metallic wheat aroma, with only a small amount of clove and bubblegum. Sour wheat taste at first, but after 2-3 pulls, it gets a nice cereal taste with a good amount of banana. I've had better, but this is not that bad.

A- Pours cloudy medium boron with a nice head, and almost no lacing.
S- Smell is a mix of a lot of aromas wheat, banana, dried fruits and also sweet characteristics.
T/M- Very mild with not bitterness definite taste of banana and clove
D- Very drinkable, nice balanced wheat would defiantly buy this one again. There might be some better Dunkles out there but this is one not to pass up.

(Served in an weizen glass)
A- This beer has a warm opaque hazel brown body with a thick creamy light tan head that turns rocky that last and last. There is a strong carbonation of tiny bubbles gliding to the surface.
S- This beer has a nice toasted dry malt aroma with a faint banana hint. As it warms there is a soft caramel sweetness that comes through.
T- The taste of dark roasted malt with a soft black roasted malt in the background. The finish is a slight dry carbonic acid note with a clean finish. As it warms there is a faint cherry tanginess and a club soda hint as it warms.
M- There is a light mouthfeel with a big fizz in the finish. There is a slight watery note that comes through as it warms.
D- This beer is very smooth with some good dark flavors with no notes of hops but the big fizz cleans up the finish.

It pours a cloudy, tawny brown body with a full head of creamy off-white foam that holds exceptionally well but leaves only minor lacing considering the style. Light brown sugar and soft red berries dominate the aroma with only subtle hints of banana and a gentle clove-like spice appear in the nose. The body is medium and it appears initially crisp and then creamy across the palate due to its very fine and effervescent natural carbonation. The flavor delivers a beautiful combination of soft maltiness and gentle fruitiness (berries, apples, bananas). It's very well-balanced by a soft bitterness, and it finishes dry with a short note of fruity yeast. Quite nice! It's weizen yeast character is somewhat restrained, offering a bit more drinkability. Certainly on-par with the better known brands and well worth trying.

Pours a real hazy brown color with a straw hue. Has a biege three inch head with lots of finite carb action.
Has a bready, toasted, nutty, malt smell with banana and bubblegum in the background. With a grassy, resin, and orange hops aroma.
Has a toasted/roasted wheat grain and barley malt taste with caramel and some banana. Lime flavored esters and butter are in the mix.
Medium bodied, buttery and watery/resin feel, fizzy and lively carbonation, with a hint of a chalky finish.
A different taste from a different region in Germany, a good session dunkelwiezen.

16.9 oz bomber, no freshness date.
Pours out cloudy caramel color, with a 2" tan head.
Caramel aromas mixed with some banana and wheat, a little sourness in there too.
Flavors are mostly tart lemon, with a little chalkyness, and some spice.
eh, just okay.

Pours a thick, cloudy chestnut color. Big, foamy, bright white head recedes but leaves no lace on the glassware.
Aromas of caramel, clove and light bubblegum are detected.
Flavor has some spicy yeast with some cloves gives way to a mineral water and somewhat vacant body.
Mouthfeel has some spicy hints but overall very dull, vacant and watery. Mineral water notes are a little off-putting.
Drinkability is average. Nothing bad to note here but absolutely nothing that stands out.

Poured a cloudy dark brown with a good-sized resilient, creamy off-white head. Large volume of carbonation coming up from the bottom.
Heavy sweet smell of bready malt and dark fruits, with a fainter aroma of banana and clove.
Taste had a kind of bananabread flavor with some prune and clove flavors added in. Not as robust in taste as I would have expected after smelling it.
Feel was rather thin and light with a raw edge to it.
Overall, I was impressed with the attractiveness and smell of this beer. However, I thought it to be coming up short on taste and feel.

Appearance- Dark cherry with an off-white head. Practiaclly no lace, which would be nice.
Aroma- Sweet, malty, wheaty with elements of over-ripe banana. Smells great.
Taste- Doesn't taste anything like it smells. Like lightly toasted barley and a sour, tangy wheat. Slightly astringent, which seems oddly to fit well. A hint of pine nuts in there to.
Body- Average body for the style. A tad over-carboanted tho.
Drinkability- Like I said earlier, a tad astringent, but not bad overall.

nice medium brown pour with a slight reddish touch to the sides yielded a nice head of off white that stuck to the sides of the glass fairly well as it trickled down. aroma is nice and earthy with touches of roasted nuts and caramel coming through as it warms. nice deep flavor, nothing over the top but nice and consistent for the style, about what i would expect from them. deep sweet malts are driven home in the finish with a long taste of caramel that really just drives it home.

A: The beer is cloudy dark brownish amber in color and poured into a weizen glass with a two finger high off white head that died down but never completely faded away. A high amount of carbonation is visible.
S: There are light aromas of banana, clove and wheat in the nose.
T: The overall taste is very similar to the smell and also has some associated sweetness and caramel flavors.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a high amount of carbonation.
D: The beer is very easy to drink and goes down smoothly; it is quite sessionable.

The beer pours from the 500ml brown bottle a cloudless burnished copper color with a humongous creamy head the is light tan in color, as it ever so slowly fades away the residual lace forms a fine blanket to coat the glass. Nose has a sweet caramel aroma with a nice bit of wheat, fresh and pleasant to the senses, start is lightly sweet with a good grain presence, and the top is light to middling in feel. Finish is benignly hopped and the acidity purposeful, very dry aftertaste, a pleasant enough beer, and one that goes well with the rapidly approaching Arizona summer.

Poured into a Franziskaner weisse beer glass. Pours a cloudy deep brown color with a big tan head. Head drops after a few minutes to about a half pinkie's worth of foam.
Aromas of chocolate, banana, and light clove. Good malt sweetness, no hop aroma.
Flavors of grainy wheat, banana, good carbonic bite. All the flavors are there, but no very pronounced, a little weak. A little on the minerally side. Finish is short, with a deep caramel maltiness.
Mouthfeel is light, almost watery, with a good prickle from carbonation.
Overall, not a bad beer, not a great beer. There are many much better options for a Dunkel. But I don't think you'd go wrong giving it a try.

Pours a cloudy dark brown brew.
Smell is a big whiff of dunkel bananas and bubble gum. Other smells like spices are present too.
Taste is mostly spice. Not to sweet and the Banana taste practically punches you in the nose.
Mouthfeel is watery.
Very drinkable, just it isn't the top beer of its kind.

On the pour, this is exactly what I expect with a dunkel weiss. A large fluffy white head atop a cloudy dark brown beer. Don't forget to swirl the last 1/4 of the beer to get all the good hefe! It has a nice combination of malt and banana/clove esters on the aroma. The taste is somewhat disapointing. Its a little thinner than I would have expected with how it looks and smells, but it does have a malt/clove taste with the hops being very subtle in the the background. It did have a noticible metallic taste for the 1st half, but I do have to say it improved as I drank it.
Overall, very drinkable. Not the best example of the style but above average.

This is one of those beers that look and smell great, but when you actually try to drink it, it leaves a bit to be desired. It pours a beautiful golden brown color, has an excellent malty aroma as well. But when you drink it, the taste is bitter and it is very chunky beer. I was a bit disappointed in this one, but hey, it could of been alot worse!

Dark brown aggressive pour from bottle in pint glass. Tan colored two finger head.
A pleasant wheat smell. Smells nutty and sweet.
A nice balance of wheat and hops. It has a roasted nutty taste. Sweet banana and malts add to the fruitiness.
Medium-bodied and kind of creamy. It's a tasty and drinkable dunkel. Came recommended from Tiffany's.

Pours into my Weizen glass an amberish brown with a high slightly tannish off white head that billows above the rim.
It smells darker and fruitier than a normal hefe. But underneath that amped up fruitiness is the classic banana and clove combo.
It tastes lightly nutty and roasty with also the banana and clove and a hint of lemon. Pretty much normal hefe with a dash of dark malt flavors. It is very tasty.
The mouthfeel could be better, it is a bit on the watery side and sould use more of that full creamy weizen bier texture.
Overall this is a solid brew, I don't see it around much but it is pretty good.
