When first poured, it was a hazy golden wheat color with some foam. The smell of spice and wheat fill the nose. I wouldn't say I could smell cloves, just some kind of a spicy nature. The taste was of a thick beer with some spice and wheat. The turn off for me was that the finish was a bitter/sour taste on the palate and for me, that was not very pleasant.

orange hazy body with lots of carbonation and a great pillowy white head
gentle aroma of clove, citric
Taste is classic Hefeweizen, clove, wheat tang, lacking a bit of malt backbone and hence little watery
spritzy, evervescent, not much of a body
Good but not great Hefeweizen in my opinion

. Looks good, fairly light and pale compared to some. Delivers much better aroma than its middling, almost euro lager taste. Very thin and slightly slick mouthfeel. Shame

This hefe pours a clear, golden yellow color with a medium, foamy, white head and a fairly high amount of carbonation. The smell is of the typical hefe bananas and yeast, but it is probably more subdued than the average hefe. The body is certainly lighter than the typical hefe and the initial taste is mild, but smooth. It’s really in the aftertaste that the majority of the flavor hits you and despite the light body there is some pretty serious flavor with banana, yeast, wheat malts, and some nice clove coming to the forefront. The finish is nice and crisp, which I think would be a nice change for those that find the aftertaste of hefes to be cloying. Despite the picture of a hop bud on the bottle, the hop presence in the finish is quite mild as it probably should be for this style of beer. Normally when breweries take a style and make it lighter it is something that I am against, as I tend to prefer robust, darker beers on the whole, but in this case I would make an exception. This beer manages to impart a full hefe flavor while giving a body that makes it great for a warmer day. I have had better hefes, but I think that this is for sure worth trying and it’s definitely a little underrated in my opinion.
